Cypermethrin is widely used for insect control; however, its toxicity toward aquatic life requires its complete removal from contaminated areas where the natural degradation ability of microbes can be utilized. Agricultural soil with extensive history of CM application was used to prepare enrichment cultures using cypermethrin as sole carbon source for

AbstractInsecticides are the chemicals widely used in agriculture, environmental health, human‐and animal‐health fields. Exposure to insecticides has been associated with many hazardous effects, including antioxidative metabolism. In the current study, the effect of cypermethrin (CYP), propetamphos (PRO) and their mixtures on oxidative stress in mice ...

Cadmium potentiates toxicity of cypermethrin in zebrafish
Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 2015Abstract Co-occurrence of pesticides such as synthetic pyrethroids and metals in aquatic ecosystems raises concerns over their combined ecological effects. Cypermethrin, 1 of the top 5 synthetic pyrethroids in use, has been extensively detected in surface water.

Persistence of deltamethrin and cypermethrin on wheat and sweetclover
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 1985Residues of cypermethrin and deltamethrin in wheat herbage and grain and deltamethrin in sweetclover herbage were determined. Cypermethrin was applied at 28 g/ha to wheat and the residues on the herbage declined exponentially from 3.74 ppm immediately after spraying to 0.20 ppm 27 days after spraying. No cypermethrin residues were detected in the grain.

Immunotoxicological Investigation of the Effects of a Pesticide; Cypermethrin
1985The effects of a synthetic pyrethroid pesticide cypermethrin on the immune system were studied. The effect of a daily oral administration of 1/40, 1/20 and 1/10 of LD50 was studied in rabbits for its influence on the humoral immune response after vaccination with Salmonella typhi, as well as on cell-mediated immunity.

ACUTE TOXICITY OF CYPERMETHRIN AND ALPHA-CYPERMETHRIN-BASED INSECTICIDES ON CYPRINID FISH
Scientific Papers Journal VETERINARY SERIESThis study investigates the acute toxicity of cypermethrin and alpha-cypermethrin-based insecticides on cyprinid fish species. A 96-hour static non-renewal bioassay was conducted in the Ecotoxicology Laboratory of R.D.I.P.P. Bucharest. Juveniles of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and Prussian carp (Carassius gibelio) were exposed to a range of ...

The effectiveness of cypermethrin in the control of summer mastitis
British Veterinary Journal, 1987Flies have been incriminated as vectors of summer mastitis. The efficacy of cypermethrin, formulated as a spray, in the control of the disease was investigated in two experiments. In this study, 1033 dry cows and 454 heifers in 16 herds were sprayed on two or four occasions with insecticide, while 836 dry cows and 432 heifers in 24 herds acted as ...
