Hypophosphataemia in adults: approach to diagnosis and management

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Hypophosphataemia is a common electrolyte disorder which can have clinically significant consequences for bone, muscle, neurological and haematological function. Its causes range from transient transcellular shifts in hospitalised patients to chronic renal phosphate‐wasting disorders mediated by fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23).

Periodontal Medicine Rewired: Mechanisms Linking Periodontitis to Systemic Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
This review reorganizes decades of research in periodontal medicine into a multi‐dimensional framework, illustrating how periodontitis influences systemic health through at least seven interconnected mechanisms. ABSTRACT Periodontitis is now recognized not merely as a localized oral condition but as a systemic disease linked to over 70 communicable and

Innovations in Obesity Treatment: Beyond Adipose Tissue Dysfunction

open access: yesObesity Reviews, EarlyView.
Obesity drives chronic inflammation, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cancer development through adipocyte dysfunction. Addressing this multisystemic disorder requires integrated strategies beyond diet and exercise, such as thermogenesis activation via menthol or capsinoids and appetite control through GLP‐1/GIP agonists and neuromodulation to ...

Scaling temporal resolution from mice to humans: Challenges and innovations in preclinical imaging of translational models

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Temporal scaling physiology differs significantly between mice and humans. Mice have higher metabolism, heart and respiratory rate, as well as faster blood flow rates, brain activity and physiological dynamics over time. These differences influence the temporal resolution needed in preclinical imaging of mouse models to ...

Successful Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Primary Esophageal Mucosa‐Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 7, Issue 1, April 2027.
ABSTRACT Primary esophageal extranodal marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa‐associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma) is extremely rare, and its optimal management has not been established. We report a case of primary esophageal MALT lymphoma that was successfully treated by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).

Nodal T Follicular Helper Cell Lymphoma With Epstein–Barr Virus‐Positive Neoplastic T Cells Derived From Clonal Hematopoiesis

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 6, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Nodal T follicular helper cell lymphoma (nTFHL) with Epstein–Barr virus (EBV)‐positive neoplastic T cells is rare. Methods We report a woman with nTFHL and analyzed EBV‐infected cells using an immunobead‐based method and assessed somatic mutations in lymphoma and lymphoma‐uninvolved bone marrow by targeted sequencing.

De‐Escalation of Neoadjuvant Treatment for HER2‐Positive Breast Cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 10, Page 2393-2402, 15 November 2026.
ABSTRACT With improved prognosis in early HER2‐positive breast cancer, safely de‐escalating treatment is increasingly investigated to minimize overtreatment. This article focuses on neoadjuvant de‐escalation strategies for HER2‐positive breast cancer.

CT‐Guided Percutaneous Cryo‐Rotational Biopsy of a Pulmonary Nodule: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 11, November 2026.
ABSTRACT A 69‐year‐old man with a pulmonary nodule underwent CT‐guided cryo‐rotational lung biopsy, which confirmed organizing pneumonia. The lesion resolved completely after antibiotic therapy. This case highlights the feasibility of cryo‐rotational biopsy for diagnosing indeterminate pulmonary nodules.
