Short Wavelength Limit of the Dynamic Matsubara Local Field Correction

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the short wavelength limit of the dynamic Matsubara local field correction G˜q,zl$$ \tilde{G}\left(\mathbf{q},{z}_l\right) $$ of the uniform electron gas based on direct ab initio path integral Monte Carlo (PIMC) results over an unprecedented range of wavenumbers, q≲20qF$$ q\lesssim 20{q}_{\mathrm{F}} $$, where qF$$ {q}_{\mathrm{

Intense Absorption of Phosphorescent Biscyclometalated Ir(III) Complex with Triarylborane‐Bound 2,2’‐Bipyridine Ligand

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
A Monocationic biscyclometalated Ir(III) complex with triarylborane‐bound 2,2′‐bipyridine was designed and synthesized, and its photophysical properties were investigated. The triarylborane–Ir(III) complex exhibited significantly enhanced absorption in the 300–400 nm region compared to pristine biscyclometalated Ir(III) complexes, attributed to ...

Synthesis of [(3,4,5‐F3C6H2)(4‐nBuC6H4)2C][HCB11Cl11]: A Much More Soluble Version of the Trityl Cation with Slightly Higher Lewis Acidity

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
A new triarylmethyl cation (*Tr+), designed to closely mimic Ph3C+ in reactivity has been prepared as a [HCB11Cl11]‐ salt. *Tr+ very slightly exceeds the Lewis acidity of Ph3C+ in chloride and hydride transfer reactions, but possesses two orders of magnitude higher solubility in organic solvents of low polarity.

Tridentate Bis‐pyridine Nitrenium Ligands and their Coordination Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
π‐acidic ligands play a significant role in coordination chemistry and catalysis. A unique example of π‐acidic ligands is the N‐heterocyclic nitrenium cation which is an isoelectronic and isostructural analog of the widely utilized N‐heterocyclic carbene.
