Impact of stochasticity in immigration and reintroduction on colonizing and extirpating populations
A thorough quantitative understanding of populations at the edge of extinction is needed to manage both invasive and extirpating populations. Immigration can govern the population dynamics when the population levels are low.

The Effect of Chlorhexidine Mouthwash on Blood Pressure: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis
ABSTRACT Aim This study evaluated the effect of rinsing with a chlorhexidine containing mouthwash (CHX‐MW) on blood pressure (BP), as compared to rinsing with a control MW or no MW, based on (randomised) controlled trials and observational studies in humans. PROSPERO CRD42020222495.

Multi‐Scale Hybrid Modeling to Predict Cell Culture Process With Metabolic Phase Transitions
ABSTRACT To advance understanding of cellular metabolism and reduce batch‐to‐batch variability in cell culture processes, this study introduces a multi‐scale hybrid modeling framework designed to simulate and predict the dynamic behavior of CHO cell cultures undergoing metabolic phase transitions.

Geometric water exchange in dendritic spines imparts a similar signature on diffusion‐MRI signals as permeative, transmembrane water exchange. Current diffusion MRI methods are non‐specific to geometric and permeative exchange. This work proposes a method to disentangle these two modes of exchange, yielding both more accurate estimates of permeative ...

Structural Response of Laser‐Driven Shock Compressed Albite
Abstract Plagioclase records characteristic shock features that constrain meteorite impact conditions, but its phase evolution along the Hugoniot remains unresolved. We investigated shock‐induced phase transition in albite using in situ X‐ray diffraction during laser‐driven shock at 14–66 GPa. Albite retained its crystal structure up to at least 14 GPa

An application of an ethernet based protocol for communication and control in automated manufacturing [PDF]
The exchange of information in the industrial environment is essential in order to achieve complete integration and control of manufacturing processes. At present the majority of devices present in the shop floor environment are still used as stand alone

Ridge Migration and Plate Boundary Readjustments at the Rodriguez Triple Junction
Abstract The Rodriguez Triple Junction (RTJ) marks the intersection of the Indian Ocean's three principal mid‐ocean ridges and is a type locality for Ridge‐Ridge‐Ridge triple junctions. A local seismic network was deployed for 8 months to monitor seismicity around the RTJ and the adjacent Central Indian Ridge (CIR).

Unraveling the Source Locations of Short‐Period Secondary Microseisms
Abstract Primary and secondary microseisms are generated by ocean wave interactions, with the latter occasionally split into short‐ and long‐period bands in some regions. The short‐period secondary microseism (SPSM) sources have traditionally been associated with nearby coastal segments, suggesting a more uniform distribution across shorelines.
