Development of a Sustainable Biocatalytic Process for Geranyl Benzoate Production Using Immobilized Lipase

This study optimized solvent‐free geranyl benzoate production using Lipozyme 435, achieving 72% conversion in 6 hours. Open reactors improved yields (>99% in 48 hours) by removing inhibitorymethanol. Methyl benzoate reduced enzyme activity by 54%, though Lipura Flex showed better resistance. Human cell tests confirmed no cytotoxicity.

Enantiopurity‐Dependent Peptide Coacervates and Asymmetric Organocatalysis

Enantiopure peptide LLLPFF‐OCH3 forms liquid–liquid phase‐separated (LLPS) droplets that act as chiral microreactors for enantioselective aldol catalysis. Racemic mixtures fail to undergo LLPS, showing spontaneous enantiomeric self‐disproportionation (SDE).

Proteomic and Transcriptomic Signatures of Poor Asthma Symptom Control in the U‐BIOPRED Cohort

No stable features were identified as associated with asthma symptom control in transcriptomics or sputum proteomics. Higher TWEAKR/TNFRSF12A and MBL/MBP‐C serum levels increased the odds of uncontrolled symptoms, while higher MK08/MAPK8 and CD5L serum levels decreased the odds, after adjustment for clinical variables.
