Amplitude-Based IR-Improvement in Precision LHC/FCC Physics [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of 42nd International Conference on High Energy Physics — PoS(ICHEP2024)
We present recent results based on the IR-improvement of unintegrable singularities in the infrared regime via amplitude-based resummation in $QED \times QCD \subset SU(2)_L \times U_1 \times SU(3)_c$.

J-PLUS: The Javalambre Photometric Local Universe Survey [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2015
The Javalambre Photometric Local Universe Survey (J-PLUS ) is an ongoing 12-band photometric optical survey, observing thousands of square degrees of the Northern Hemisphere from the dedicated JAST/T80 telescope at the Observatorio Astrofísico de ...

VERA monitoring of the radio jet 3C 84 in the period of 2007–2013: Detection of non-linear motion [PDF]

open access: yesNippon Tenmon Gakkai obun kenkyu hokoku, 2018
We present a kinematic study of the subparsec-scale radio jet of the radio galaxy 3C 84/NGC 1275 with the VLBI Exploration of Radio Astrometry (VERA) array at 22 GHz for 80 epochs from 2007 October to 2013 December.

A precise and accurate determination of the cosmic microwave background temperature at z = 0.89 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Context. According to the Big Bang theory and as a consequence of adiabatic expansion of the Universe, the temperature of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) increases linearly with redshift. This relation is, however, poorly explored, and detection of

VLTI/GRAVITY enables the determination of the first dynamical masses of a classical Be + stripped and bloated pre-subdwarf binary [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
HR 6819 is the first post-mass transfer binary system composed of a classical Be star and a bloated pre-subdwarf stripped star directly confirmed by interferometry.

Fine structure and kinematics of the ionized and molecular gas in the jet and disk around S255IR NIRS3 from high-resolution ALMA observations [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
We present observations of the high-mass star-forming region S255IR, which harbors the sim 20 M protostar NIRS3, where a disk-mediated accretion burst was recorded several years ago.

Intensified training augments cardiac function, but not blood volume, in male youth elite ice hockey team players

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 110, Issue 5, Page 755-766, 1 May 2025.
Abstract While it is well‐established that a period of interval training performed at near maximal effort, such as speed endurance training (SET), enhances intense exercise performance in well‐trained individuals, less is known about its effect on cardiac morphology and function as well as blood volume.

Pressure‐Induced Capacity Recovery and Performance Enhancements in LTO/NMC‐LCO Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 14, April 3, 2025.
This work explores the effects of different pressurization methods on prismatic industrial‐grade high‐power lithium titanate oxide (LTO) batteries, both on pristine and aged cells. Continuously applied pressure of 0.3 MPa reduces capacity loss by 42% compared to unpressurized aged cells.

Pareto‐Optimal Design of Automotive Battery Systems with Tabless Cylindrical Lithium‐Ion Cells: Resolving the Trade‐Off Between Energy, Performance, Weight, and Cost for Variable Vehicle Requirements

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2025.
Pareto fronts reveal a significant influence of cylindrical cell dimensions and housing materials on the trade‐off between the battery systems key performance indicators of energy, performance, weight, and cost. Introducing extruded aluminum housings is identified as a strong lever to optimize multiple properties at once compared to traditional deep ...
