Skull morphology and histology indicate the presence of an unexpected buccal soft tissue structure in dinosaurs

A combined approach of osteology and histology was used to examine the cheek regions of dinosaurs. Strong evidence was found for a soft tissue in this region connecting the zygoma to the mandible, here named the ‘exoparia’. Empirically Integrating the Evidence for Different Predictive Coding Components Using Auditory False Perception

This study integratively measured the independent components of the predictive coding system including priors, confidence, prediction errors (PEs) and perceptual inference. The results showed that subjects with higher confidence in priors are more likely to shape perception towards prior belief and are more sensitive to context‐driven PEs.
