Rigidity results for $L^p$-operator algebras
An $L^p$-operator algebra is a Banach algebra that admits an isometric representation on some $L^p$-space ($p$ not 2). Given such an algebra $A$, we show that it contains a unique maximal sub-C*-algebra, which we call its C*-core.

Scattering Operator and Wave Operators for 2D Schrödinger Operators with Threshold Obstructions
© 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.We determine the low-energy behaviour of the scattering operator of two-dimensional Schrödinger operators with any type of obstructions at 0-energy.

Objective Social determinants of health (SDOH) contribute to juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) disparities, but most studies have assessed SDOH independently rather than cumulatively across individual, family, and neighborhood levels. Using a socioecological framework, we investigated the relationship among cumulative social disadvantage ...

Estimates of the principal eigenvalue of the $p$-Laplacian and the $p$-biharmonic operator [PDF]
summary:We survey recent results concerning estimates of the principal eigenvalue of the Dirichlet $p$-Laplacian and the Navier $p$-biharmonic operator on a ball of radius $R$ in $\mathbb R^N$ and its asymptotics for $p$ approaching $1$ and $\infty ...

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Operator logarithms and exponentials
Since Mclntosh's introduction of the ∞-calculus for sectorial operators, the topic has been studied by many authors. Haase has constructed a similar functional calculus for strip-type operators, and has also developed an abstract framework which unifies ...

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.
