Two‐Dimensional Isotropic Spatial Differentiation Through Complete Polarization Control

This work enables two‐dimensional isotropic spatial differentiation at planar interfaces over a wide range of incident angles by extending the output polarization from linear to elliptical. The choice of incident angle can be used to balance broader spectral response at low angles and higher edge‐detection efficiency at larger angles.

ABSTRACT While metasurfaces offer a pathway beyond the discrete architectures of conventional LWIR systems, physically fusing high‐precision thermometry and passive ranging onto a single metalens remains a formidable challenge. Beyond Electrostatics: Anion‐π+ Orbital Hybridization Underpins High‐Performance Chloride Storage in Poly(arylamine) Organic Cathodes

The fundamental nature of anion storage in p‐type organic cathodes is elucidated using rigid poly(arylamine) frameworks. This study reveals a hybrid covalent‐ionic mechanism for anion‐π+ interactions, driven by synergistic orbital hybridization and electrostatic attraction.

[O─I─O]+ Halogen‐Bonded Complexes of Pyridine N‐Oxides

The missing puzzle of 3‐center‐4‐electron halogen‐bonded complexes viz. [O─I─O]+ of pyridine N‐oxides are structurally characterized by x‐ray diffraction. Monodentate N‐oxide O‐atom acts as the halogen bond acceptor. Their solution complexations are characterized by 15N NMR spectroscopy.

Ambiphilic Ligand Stabilization of Aluminum(I) Fragments: Halides, Cations, and a Hydride

Stabilization of elusive aluminum(I) halides in the framework of an ambiphilic ligand is reported. The unique bonding situation at the trigonal‐bipyramidal aluminum center is analyzed, and the coordination chemistry and Al(I)Br transfer reactivity of the complexes are presented.
