Urbanization and food transition in the Brazilian Amazon: From wild to domesticated meat

Abstract Urbanization is expected to influence food transitions, resulting in a shift from wild foods to more domesticated foods. Concomitantly, food insecurity and urban demand for natural resources, including wildlife, are expected to increase overall, even when the per capita consumption is expected to decrease.

Investigating zeta‐cypermethrin resistance stability in California Drosophila suzukii populations

After continuous selection and removal of selection pressure in spotted‐wing Drosophila, zeta‐cypermethrin resistance remained stable over several generations. Following a population bottleneck, zeta‐cypermethrin resistance increased without selection, highlighting the importance of insecticide rotation.

From snapshots to continuous estimates: Augmenting citizen science with computer vision for fish monitoring

This study presents an end‐to‐end computer‐vision pipeline for monitoring fish migration using underwater video. We integrate field camera deployment, annotation, model training and automated in‐season counting to generate continuous, high‐resolution data on river herring spawning migration.
