Encapsulation of Rosehip (Rosa canina L.) Seed Polyphenols in Polysaccharide‐Based Carriers: Process Optimization, Characterization, and In Vitro Release

Rosehip seed polyphenols were encapsulated by optimized spray‐drying using polysaccharide carriers. The microparticles showed strong antioxidant properties and higher release in the intestinal phase. Their incorporation improved the oxidative stability of sunflower and corn oils.

A new species of Hypericum section Taeniocarpium (Hypericaceae) from Türkiye

A new species, Hypericum aladaglariense, is described and illustrated from Yahyalı, Kayseri Province in Türkiye. The new species belongs to Hypericum sect. Taeniocarpium. It is related to H. linarioides, H. armenum, and H. theodori, which differs by its leaves, bract, bracteole, sepal, and petal features.

Smart pH‐Sensitive Indicator Films Based on Gellan Gum/Starch/Xanthan Gum With Aronia Extract: Real‐Time Tracking of Chicken Freshness

Intelligent indicators were composed of gellan gum, starch and xanthan gum, incorporated with anthocyanins extracted from aronia based on the solvent‐casting method. The films demonstrated remarkable antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The aronia‐added films were sensitive at varying pHs.
