Interface Controlled Electric Field Swing Adsorption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Swing adsorption of Ar, N2, and CO2 under moderate electric fields and elevated pressures at room temperature is investigated. Multiple charged conductor‐insulator interfaces enable a selective adsorption behavior of the three gases while CO2 shows a 10 fold increase in the effect over Ar and N2.

Unveiling the Fundamental Principles of Reconfigurable Resistance States in Silver/Poly(Ethylene Glycol) Nanofluids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The electrophoretic reorganization of Ag nanoparticles within a poly(ethylene glycol) leads to the formation of conductive bridges with reconfigurable resistance states. Diverse conduction characteristics of the bridge range between ohmic conduction, nonlinear tunneling, or space charge‐limited conduction, and high resistance states.

Molecular Creep Induced Fatigue Rupture of Fibrin Clots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fibrin networks in thrombi paradoxically exhibit low fatigue resistance despite high fracture energy, as cyclic loading triggers irreversible α‐to‐β transitions in fibrin molecules, causing molecular creep, crack propagation. Multiscale experiments, modeling reveal how nanoscale conformational damage accumulates, linking molecular disorder to ...

A Subcircuit in the Suprachiasmatic Nucleus Generates Wakefulness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a sub‐circuit within the circadian pacemaker suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) that promotes arousal. This sub‐circuit is labeled by the clock output molecule mWAKE, which suppresses its excitability in a time‐dependent manner. mWAKE‐expressing cells in the SCN (SCNmWAKE cells) project to the subparaventricular zone (SPZ) to mediate ...

Phenylalanine‐Based DNA‐Encoded Chemical Libraries for the Discovery of Potent and Selective Small Organic Ligands Against Markers of Cancer and Immune Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FM‐DEL1 and FM‐DEL2 are constructed by installing one or two sets of building blocks on a phenylalanine central scaffold. FM‐DELs are screened against markers of prostate, and renal cell carcinoma, and against an immunological target expressed on the surface of natural killer cells.

Monitoring the Dynamics of Alzheimer's Disease Biomarkers and the APOE–Tau Axis via Human Cerebral Organoids with Immuno‐SERS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Noninvasive and sensitive detection of tau protein dynamics across developmental stages and APOE genotypes remain a challenge in Alzheimer's disease (AD) research. This study reveals the dynamics of tau secretion in label‐free manner using surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and human cerebral organoids (hCOs). This study provides novel insights

Inhibition of AMPKα Pathway by Podocyte GOLM1 Exacerbates Diabetic Nephrology in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Podocyte Golgi membrane protein 1 interacts with epidermal growth factor receptor to inhibit peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ, and then inactivates adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase α pathway, which facilitates diabetes‐related inflammation, oxidative damage, apoptosis, and renal dysfunction.

Quantum Kernel Learning for Small Dataset Modeling in Semiconductor Fabrication: Application to Ohmic Contact

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A quantum kernel‐aligned regressor (QKAR) is developed for modeling Ohmic contact formation in GaN HEMT fabrication. Leveraging experimental data and a Pauli‐Z feature map enhanced with a quantum kernel alignment (QKA) layer, the model achieves superior predictive performance over classical methods.

Boron Difluoride Formazanate Dye With Donor Planarization Engineering for 1060 nm Laser Activated Photothermal Theranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The donor engineering strategy enhances the planarity of the π‐conjugated molecular framework, thereby promoting stronger intramolecular charge transfer (ICT). This structural refinement in FBDFDPA leads to a pronounced bathochromic shift in absorption from the NIR‐I to the NIR‐II region, enabling effective photothermal therapy (PTT) for tumors within ...

eIF4E Enriched Extracellular Vesicles Induce Immunosuppressive Macrophages through HMGCR‐Mediated Metabolic Rewiring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, it is revealed that ovarian cancer cells release extracellular vesicles enriched with eIF4E, which alters protein production in macrophages. This leads to increased expression of 3‐hydroxy‐3‐methyl‐glutaryl‐coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR), boosting cholesterol synthesis and activating an immunosuppressive pathway through X‐box binding protein 1 and ...
