N,N-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-amine monohydrate

open access: yesIUCrData, 2018
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C7H9N5·H2O, consists of two formula units differing slightly in the orientation of the dimethylamino groups. In the crystal, a combination of O—H...N and N—H...O hydrogen bonds involving the water molecules of ...

Structure, Function and Diversity of the Healthy Human Microbiome

open access: yesNature, 2012
Studies of the human microbiome have revealed that even healthy individuals differ remarkably in the microbes that occupy habitats such as the gut, skin and vagina. Much of this diversity remains unexplained, although diet, environment, host genetics and

Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

An integrated map of genetic variation from 1,092 human genomes

open access: yesNature, 2012
By characterizing the geographic and functional spectrum of human genetic variation, the 1000 Genomes Project aims to build a resource to help to understand the genetic contribution to disease.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

On α′-effects from D-branes in 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
In this work we study type IIB Calabi-Yau orientifold compactifications in the presence of space-time filling D7-branes and O7-planes. In particular, we conclude that α′2 g s -corrections to their DBI actions lead to a modification of the four ...

Comprehensive molecular characterization of human colon and rectal cancer

open access: yesNature, 2012
To characterize somatic alterations in colorectal carcinoma, we conducted a genome-scale analysis of 276 samples, analysing exome sequence, DNA copy number, promoter methylation and messenger RNA and microRNA expression.
