Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy Analysis of Isolated Melanosomes

open access: yesChemPhysChem, EarlyView.
Using fast fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy, the study tracks isolated bovine and porcine melanosomes during 60 min of 515 nm laser exposure. Two decay components lengthen progressively, while amplitude ratios shift, evidencing rapid photo‐oxidative and structural alterations of melanin.

Vibrational Partition Functions from Bond Order and Populations Relationships

open access: yesChemPhysChem, EarlyView.
A new computational model is presented that predicts vibrational partition functions using bond orders and populations relationships (QBOP). This model demonstrates that thermochemical energy contributions can be reasonably approximated based on well‐conditioned orbital populations without the need for a costly Hessian calculation.

Recent Developments and Prospects on Functional Graphene‐Based Nanocomposites as Potential Sulfur Hosts for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This article comprehensively summarizes the potential applications of pure graphene, heteroatom‐modified graphene, and graphene‐based nanocomposite frameworks as potential hosts for sulfur to develop promising cathode materials for next‐generation LiSBs. Lithium‐sulfur batteries have been developing in recent years and appear to offer an alternative to

Plane Protection Enabling (002) Oriented Plating and Stripping Processes for Aqueous Zn‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The (002) texture was increased by 11‐mercaptoundecanoic acid (MUA) etching and protected by MUA anchoring, which enables the oriented plating and stripping without dendrites and corrosion, contributing to the high performance of Zn||Zn symmetric cell and Zn||MnO2 full cell.
