Muralismo como encargo participativo: Holografía de lo (in)visible en comunidades a’i cofán de la selva colombiana

open access: yesAnthropology of Consciousness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT When mural art in indigenous communities is commissioned as a participatory project, several methodological, epistemological, and aesthetic questions arise. The immunological landscape of the area postrema in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive neuromyelitis spectrum disorder is characterized by large tissue destructive lesions in medulla, spinal cord, and optic nerves, with only partial recovery from clinical symptoms, and by lesions with very little tissue destruction and mostly complete recovery from clinical symptoms, as seen in the area postrema ...

Integrated Engineering of CAR‐T Cells for Solid Tumours

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Solid tumours pose multifactorial barriers including antigen heterogeneity, immunosuppressive microenvironment, and poor T‐cell trafficking, limiting CAR‐T efficacy compared to hematologic malignancies. Integrated engineering strategies are essential, combining logic‐gated receptors for precision, metabolic‐epigenetic reprogramming for resilience, and ...

Inborn errors of immunity in children with neuroinflammation

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, EarlyView.
Abstract Inborn errors of immunity (IEIs), an expanding group of monogenic disorders with diverse clinical manifestations, are increasingly recognized to include neuroinflammatory disease. Examples of diseases included under this umbrella are Aicardi–Goutières syndrome, deficiency of adenosine deaminase 2, familial haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis ...

Coherent scatter-controlled phase-change grating structures in silicon using femtosecond laser pulses

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Periodic structures of alternating amorphous-crystalline fringes have been fabricated in silicon using repetitive femtosecond laser exposure (800 nm wavelength and 120 fs duration). The method is based on the interference of the incident laser light with

Characterization of dermatan sulfate and chondroitin sulfate profiles during brain regeneration in Styela plicata

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Adult ascidians are capable of regenerating their entire brains following injury, and glycosaminoglycans have been shown to either promote or inhibit neuritogenesis. In this study, dermatan 2,6‐disulfate (D2,6S) was identified as the predominant complex carbohydrate in the ascidian brain.

Australian consensus recommendations for the management of increased meningococcal infection risk in adults with neurological diseases treated with complement inhibitors

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Complement inhibitor therapy carries a risk of serious infections, including meningococcal disease. Here we provide evidence‐based recommendations and expert consensus for immunisation and prophylactic treatment of patients receiving, or planning to receive, complement inhibitors for neurological conditions in the Australian setting.

Melanoma and Other Melanistic Lesions in Brown Bullhead Ameiurus nebulosus From Waterbodies in the Northeastern United States and Canada: Identification of Risk Factors

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Melanistic lesions, including non‐raised black areas due to proliferations of melanocytes and melanomacrophages in the dermis and epidermis, as well as raised black areas consistent with melanoma, are described in brown bullhead (BBH) Ameiurus nebulosus from three water bodies in the northeastern United States and Quebec, Canada.
