Discourse Networks and Contentious Global Public Policy

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Volume 64, Issue 5, Page 1662-1687, September 2026.

Challenging static and instrumentalist views, frames are conceptualised as malleable, relational and contingent, unfolding through processes

An Endogenous ‘Refugee Crisis’: Exploring Frame Drain and Emerging Conflicts in Migration Politics

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Volume 64, Issue 5, Page 1814-1839, September 2026.
Abstract Migration governance in Europe is shaped by contesting frames that reflect deeper tensions between security, humanitarianism and sovereignty. This article traces how these frames evolve over time and how the so‐called refugee ‘crisis’ reconfigures framing dynamics and actor relations between 2000 and 2020. Harvest Stage‐Dependent Variation in Essential Oil Chemotype and Agronomic Yield of Parsley (Petroselinum crispum (Mill.) Fuss)

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) was harvested at four ontogenetic stages (Pet‐1 to Pet‐4; May–September) under Mediterranean field conditions. Harvest timing significantly affected both agronomic yield and essential oil (EO) composition. Biomass yield peaked at Pet‐4 (10,076 kg da−1); EO content was highest at Pet‐2 (0.70%). GC–MS identified 55 volatile

Ameliorative Effects of Silymarin on Ovarian Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury via Modulation of Oxidative Stress and Inflammatory Pathways

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study investigates the protective effects of SLY against experimental ovarian ischemia/reperfusion (OIR) injury. Findings demonstrate that SLY significantly attenuates oxidative stress and inflammatory response by reducing pro‐inflammatory cytokines and lipid peroxidation while preserving histological tissue integrity and enhancing antioxidant ...

Dexpanthenol Attenuates Methotrexate‐Induced Nephrotoxicity Through Modulation of NF‐κB–Mediated Inflammation and SIRT1/PGC‐1α–NRF2/HO‐1–Associated Oxidative Stress Pathways

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2026.
Graphical abstract depicting the protective role of DEX against MTX‐induced nephrotoxicity. MTX exposure activates NF‐κB, leading to upregulation of TNF‐α and downstream apoptotic mediator Cas‐3, which collectively drive inflammation, apoptosis, and renal tissue damage. Simultaneously, MTX suppresses protective regulators SIRT1, PGC‐1α, NRF2, and HO‐1,
