Expanding the Ichnofacies Model to Tidal Straits: Testing Predictions and Assessing Anomalies

ABSTRACT Trace fossils are instrumental in facies analysis, but some depositional environments remain underexplored. Cenozoic deposits in Italy have been studied to evaluate the ichnology of tidal straits. These comprise four zones: (1) strait centre, (2) dune‐bedded strait zone, (3) strait end and (4) strait margin.

Contexts of Anointing Behavior in a Group of Blond Capuchin Monkeys (Sapajus flavius) Inhabiting an Atlantic Forest Fragment

Wild blond capuchin anoints with millipede species that secrete a chemical capable of repelling ectoparasites, suggesting a self‐medicative function. Social and solitary anointing bouts occurred at similar frequencies, but with greater engagement by adult males, indicating that anointing is a multifunctional behavior.

Effects of cannabidiol in alcohol use disorder patients with and without co‐occurring post‐traumatic stress disorder: Tolerability but no evidence for efficacy in two randomized proof‐of‐concept trials

Two small placebo‐controlled trials evaluated the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) in patients with alcohol use disorder (AUD), with and without co‐occurring post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). CBD was rapidly absorbed and generally well tolerated in dosages of up to 1200 mg/day. Both treatment groups showed large reductions in drinking.
