One‐Year Outcomes of Topography‐Guided LASIK for Myopia and Astigmatism
Introduction To assess the efficacy and safety of topography‐guided LASIK (TG‐LASIK) in correcting myopia and astigmatism and to evaluate clinical outcomes and visual quality postoperatively. Methods We conducted a prospective study including patients aged 18–40 years with stable refraction for over 12 months.

Microbiological Safety of Probiotic Food Supplements
Background Probiotic food supplements (FS) containing live bacteria cultures are widespread in Switzerland. The aim of the study conducted in 2024 was to evaluate the microbiological safety of these products and to review compliance with the legal requirements in accordance with the Ordinance on Food Supplements (VNem, SR 817.022.14).

Risks for human health related to the presence of plant lectins in food
Abstract The European Commission asked the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to assess the risk related to the presence of plant lectins in food. Based on the available evidence, the CONTAM Panel considered only phytohaemagglutinin (PHA), a legume lectin from beans (Phaseolus sp.), for the risk characterisation.
