Periodic Therapeutic Phlebotomy Mitigates Systemic Aging Phenotypes by Promoting Bone Marrow Function

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
In D‐galactose‐induced aging model, periodic therapeutic phlebotomy exerts significant and comprehensive anti‐aging effects by inducing bone marrow microenvironment restoration, which rebalances hematopoiesis to restore peripheral blood function and ameliorate systemic aging phenotypes.

Adipose‐Specific GHR Deletion Attenuates Brain Aging and Cognitive Decline in Aged Mice

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
Adipose GHR deletion counteracts brain aging and cognitive decline in aged mice. This identifies adipose GH signaling as a peripheral regulator of neuroprotection and cognition. ABSTRACT Brain aging is marked by neuronal loss, synaptic deterioration, neuroinflammation, and proteinopathies, all of which contribute to cognitive decline. Although systemic

The Immunogenicity of Human Senescent Cells Is Dependent on the Senescence Inducer and Cell Type

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
Using multiple cell types and autologous immune cells, the authors present the first comprehensive evaluation of the immunogenicity of human senescent cells. Their findings demonstrate that, despite exhibiting a unique immunopeptidome, senescent fibroblasts are not recognized by immune cells.
