4-Phenylthiazol-1,2,3-triazole derivatives as new potential α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitors

open access: yes
Type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) can be managed by targeting carbohydrate hydrolases such as α-glucosidase and α-amylase. In this regard, a new 4-phenylthiazol-benzamide-1,2,3-triazole-N-phenylacetamide scaffold was designed via molecular hybridization ...

Inhibitory Mechanism of Taxifolin against α-Glucosidase Based on Spectrofluorimetry and Molecular Docking

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2017
The α-glucosidase inhibitory activity and behavior of taxifolin was first investigated by spectrofluorimetry and molecular docking. It was found that taxifolin inhibits α-glucosidase in a competitive manner with the IC 50 value of 0.16 mg/mL.

Effect of Pretreatment Methods on the Proximate Composition, Antinutritional Factors, Antioxidants Properties, and In Vitro Antidiabetic Activities of Hypsizygus ulmarius

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
The effect of pretreatment methods on the proximate content, antinutrient factors, antioxidant, and in vitro antidiabetic activities of elm oyster mushroom was studied. It was observed and statistically concluded that soaking in 0.5% salt solution for 5 min had the least deteriorating effect on the antioxidant and in vitro antidiabetic activities ...
