The Synergism of β‐Cyclodextrin and Fe3+ Enabled Anti‐Swelling Ion‐Conductive Hydrogels for Multimodal Underwater Sensing Aided by Machine Learning Algorithms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An anti‐swelling ion‐conductive hydrogel is developed via β‐cyclodextrin and Fe3+ synergism, enabling reliable underwater motion sensing and Morse code communication. Integrated with machine learning, the system achieves 98.6% accuracy in real‐time underwater handwriting recognition for rapid information transmission.

Unveiling a New Link: Cholesterol Deficiency in Smith–Lemli–Opitz and Niemann–Pick C as a Driver of Ciliopathies

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The ciliopathies are a group of genetic disorders caused by defective function of either the primary cilia (a large number) or the motile cilia (a much smaller number). These have been defined as diseases with mutations in genes encoding individual ciliary or cilia‐associated proteins.

Polyphenol‐Based Biomaterials Against Cancer Radio/Chemotherapy‐Induced Intestinal Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy/chemotherapy often causes intestinal toxicity, impairing cancer patients’ quality of life and treatment efficacy. Polyphenols protect against this injury via multiple mechanisms, but face oral use limitations. This review outlines their protective mechanisms and delivery challenges, highlighting recent oral delivery advances and future ...

Effect of β-cyclodextrin Attendance on Hexagonal Ordering of MCM-41 Silicas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Hydrothermal sol-gel synthesis of hexagonally ordered silicas using a hybrid template system is reported. Hybrid template system was made from ionic surfactant (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide or decyltrimethylammonium bromide) and supramolecular porogen ...

Kontrollierter Transport und lichtinduzierte Freisetzung von Magic Spot Nukleotiden in Escherichia coli

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We synthesized photocaged, clickable and isotope‐labeled “magic spot” Nucleotides and delivered them into Escherichia coli comparing different approaches. Light‐controlled release inside living cells enabled tracking of their conversion from pppGpp to ppGpp by capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry and revealed their impact on the growth rate of a

Nanoparticles based on hydroxypropylcyclodextryn: preparation and in vitro viability study on Caco2 cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The work purpose was to prepare and in vitro characterise solid nanoparticles based on hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP) by high pressure emulsification method; the effect on the viability of the formulations on Caco2 cells has been also ...

O‐Terphenyl‐basierte Familie konjugierter Makrozyklen: Selektive Erkennung von Phenylalanin im Wasser und Interaktion mit Insulin

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

o‐Terphenyl‐Based Family of Conjugated Macrocycles: Selective Recognition of Phenylalanine in Water and Interaction With Insulin

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
This study presents the synthesis and binding properties of a new family of o‐terphenyl‐based macrocycles, TP[n] (n = 2‐8). The trimer variant efficiently binds phenylalanine in water with a 10‐fold selectivity compared to other amino acids and aromatic neurotransmitters.
