Non-commutative holomorphic functions on Operator domains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We characterize functions of $d$-tuples of bounded operators on a Hilbert space that are uniformly approximable by free polynomials on balanced open ...

Analysis of a Lorenz-Like Chaotic System by Lyapunov Functions

open access: yesComplexity, 2019
In this paper, we investigate the ultimate bound set and positively invariant set of a 3D Lorenz-like chaotic system, which is different from the well-known Lorenz system, Rössler system, Chen system, Lü system, and even Lorenz system family. Furthermore,

Green's Function and Convergence of Fourier Series for Elliptic Differential Operators with Potential from Kato Space

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2010
We consider the Friedrichs self-adjoint extension for a differential operator A of the form A=A0+q(x)⋅, which is defined on a bounded domain Ω⊂ℝn, n≥1 (for n=1 we assume that Ω=(a,b) is a finite interval). Here A0=A0(x,D) is a formally self-adjoint and a

On the length of finite factorized groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The nonsoluble length λ(G) of a finite group G is defined as the minimum number of nonsoluble factors in a normal series each of whose factors either is soluble or is a direct product of non-abelian simple groups.

On infinitely cohomologous to zero observables [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We show that for a large class of piecewise expanding maps T, the bounded p-variation observables u_0 that admits an infinite sequence of bounded p-variation observables u_i satisfying u_i(x)= u_{i+1}(Tx) -u_{i+1}(x) are constant. The method of the proof

Stochastic Equicontinuity in Nonlinear Time Series Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper I provide simple and easily verifiable conditions under which a strong form of stochastic equicontinuity holds in a wide variety of modern time series models.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Norm and Numerical Radius Inequalities for Sums of Power Series of Operators in Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesAxioms
The main focus of this paper is on establishing inequalities for the norm and numerical radius of various operators applied to a power series with the complex coefficients h(λ)=∑k=0∞akλk and its modified version ha(λ)=∑k=0∞|ak|λk. The convergence of h(λ)

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
