Measurements of the branching fractions of Λ c +  → pπ − π +, Λ c +  → pK−K+, and Λ c +  → pπ −K+

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
The ratios of the branching fractions of the decays Λ c +  → pπ − π +, Λ c +  → pK − K +, and Λ c +  → pπ − K + with respect to the Cabibbo-favoured Λ c +  → pK − π + decay are measured using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb ...

Normal ordering associated with λ-Stirling numbers in λ-shift algebra

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2023
It is known that the Stirling numbers of the second kind are related to normal ordering in the Weyl algebra, while the unsigned Stirling numbers of the first kind are related to normal ordering in the shift algebra.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

A Prospective Study of Individuals at Risk of Multiple Sclerosis Informs the Design of Primary Prevention Studies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective In multiple sclerosis, the optimal time for deploying a therapeutic intervention is before the central nervous system is damaged; given the success of trials treating the earliest stage of MS, the radiologically isolated syndrome, developing primary prevention strategies is an important next challenge.

On the angular distribution of Λ b → Λ(→ N π)τ +τ − decay

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We present a full angular distribution of the four body Λ b → Λ(→ N π)ℓ+ℓ− decay where the leptons are massive and the Λ b is unpolarized, in an operator basis which includes the Standard Model operators, new vector and axial-vector operators, and scalar

Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Mucocutaneous Disease Activity and Damage Accrual in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Analyses From the Asia‐Pacific Lupus Collaboration Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This research article aims to describe the prevalence, associations, and health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) impact of mucocutaneous features of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods Data from the Asia‐Pacific Lupus Collaboration cohort were analyzed (2013–2021).

Angular analysis of Λ b → Λ c (→ Λπ) ℓ ν ¯ $$ \overline{\nu} $$

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We revisit the decay Λ b 0 → Λ c + ℓ − v ¯ $$ {\varLambda}_b^0\to {\varLambda}_c^{+}{\ell}^{-}\overline{v} $$ (ℓ = e, μ, τ) with a subsequent two-body decay Λ c + → Λ 0 π + $$ {\varLambda}_c^{+}\to {\varLambda}^0{\pi}^{+} $$ in the Standard Model and in ...

The concept of the Sun as ἡγεμονικόν in the Stoa and in Manilius’Astronomica

open access: yesRevista Archai, 2017
Hegemonikon in Stoic vocabulary is the technical term for the chief part or command-centre’of the soul. As we know, the Stoics considered the cosmos a living organism, and they theorised both about the human soul’s Hegemonikon and about its counterpart in the World-soul.

On (μ1, μ2, μ3)-Weakly Generalized Closed Sets

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, 2020
This paper defines a new generalization of closed sets in a tri-generalized topological space called (μ1, μ2, μ3)-weakly generalized closed set (or briefly (μ1,μ2, μ3)-wg closed set) which is defined as follows: A subset A of X is (μ1, μ2, μ3)-weakly generalized closed set if clμ1(intμ2(A)) ⊆U whenever A ⊆ U and U is μ3-open in X.
