Singular limits solution for 2-dimensional elliptic problems involving exponential nonlinearities with sub-quadratic convection nonlinear gradient terms and singular weights

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2014
Given a bounded open regular set Ω of ℝ2$\mathbb {R}^2$, q1,...,qK∈Ω${q_1, \ldots , q_K \hspace*{-0.85358pt}\in \hspace*{-0.85358pt} \Omega }$, a regular bounded function ϱ:Ω→[0,+∞)${\varrho \hspace*{-0.56905pt}:\hspace*{-0.56905pt} \Omega \hspace*{-0 ...

Construction of singular limits for a strongly perturbed four-dimensional Navier problem with exponentially dominated nonlinearity and nonlinear terms

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2019
Given a bounded open regular set Ω∈R4,x1,x2,…,xm∈Ω,λ,ρ>0,γ∈(0,1) $\varOmega \in \mathbb{R}^{4}, x_{1}, x_{2}, \ldots, x_{m} \in \varOmega, \lambda, \rho > 0, \gamma \in (0,1)$, and Qλ ${\mathscr{Q}}_{\lambda }$ some nonlinear operator (which will be ...

Nonlocal Variational Principles with Variable Growth

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2014
This paper is concerned with the functional J defined by J(u)=∫Ω×ΩW(x,y,∇u(x),∇u(y))dx dy, where Ω⊂ℝN is a regular open bounded set and W is a real-valued function with variable growth.

Quasilinear elliptic systems in divergence form associated to general nonlinearities

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2018
The paper is concerned with a priori estimates of positive solutions of quasilinear elliptic systems of equations or inequalities in an open set of Ω⊂ℝN{\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^{N}} associated to general continuous nonlinearities satisfying a local ...

Schrödinger equations in noncylindrical domains: exact controllability

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2006
We consider an open bounded set Ω⊂ℝn and a family {K(t)}t≥0 of orthogonal matrices of ℝn. Set Ωt={x∈ℝn;x=K(t)y,for all y∈Ω}, whose boundary is Γt.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Fréchet Envelopes of Nonlocally Convex Variable Exponent Hörmander Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2016
We show that the dual Bp·locΩ′ of the variable exponent Hörmander space Bp(·)loc(Ω) is isomorphic to the Hörmander space B∞c(Ω) (when the exponent p(·) satisfies the conditions ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Isoperimetric and Stable Sets for Log-ConcavePerturbations of Gaussian Measures

open access: yesAnalysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces, 2014
Let be an open half-space or slab in ℝn+1 endowed with a perturbation of the Gaussian measureof the form f (p) := exp(ω(p) − c|p|2), where c > 0 and ω is a smooth concave function depending only onthe signed distance from the linear hyperplane parallel ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
