The Depositional Record, Volume 12, Issue 3, June 2026.The data collected during these experiments have shown that carbonates preferentially nucleate on EPS most likely on carboxylic functional groups. The confirmation of preferential nucleation of carbonates on carboxylic groups lends credence to the currently proposed organomineralisation model of low‐T dolomite precipitation.
