Integrating Various Types of Feedback in L2 Writing Instruction: Teachers' and Students' Perspectives

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, Volume 36, Issue 2, Page 951-964, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Due to advances in natural language processing and artificial intelligence, automated feedback, teacher feedback, and peer feedback have been available for teachers to utilize in their L2 writing classrooms. Integrating these kinds of feedback in L2 writing instruction remains challenging.

Understory plant species recruitment and expansion spur community shifts following forest restoration treatments

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Restoration treatments have been implemented in many of the dry conifer forests of the western United States. By decreasing forest density and increasing forest heterogeneity, these treatments are generally effective at meeting their primary objective of reducing the risk of uncharacteristically severe wildfire.

Physical Activity, Symptoms, Quality of Life and Exercise Program Preferences in People With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) has a heterogeneous lifelong course. While some patients never require treatment, most experience intermittent periods of active monitoring with other time points in active treatment. Most patients experience significant symptoms which negatively impact their quality of life (QoL).

Nucleotide‐bound crystal structures of the SARS‐CoV‐2 helicase NSP13

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section F, Volume 81, Issue 8, Page 338-347, August 2025.
Nucleotide‐bound crystal structures of SARS‐CoV‐2 NSP13 capture a state immediately following ATP hydrolysis and reveal how crystal packing can affect structure‐based drug design targeting NSP13.Nucleotide‐bound crystal structures of SARS‐CoV‐2 NSP13 in ADP‐ and ATP‐bound states were resolved to 1.8 and 1.9 Å, respectively. The ADP‐bound model captures

Next Generation Aqueous Two‐Phase System for Gentle, Effective, and Timely Extracellular Vesicle Isolation and Transcriptomic Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2025.
ABSTRACT The isolation of extracellular vesicles (EVs) using currently available methods frequently compromises purity and yield to prioritize speed. Here, we present a next‐generation aqueous two‐phase system (next‐gen ATPS) for the isolation of EVs regardless of scale and volume that is superior to conventional methods such as ultracentrifugation (UC)

Reversibly Crosslinked Polyurethane Fibres from Sugar‐Based 5‐Chloromethylfurfural: Synthesis, Fibre‐Spinning and Fibre‐to‐Fibre Recycling

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 4, February 16, 2025.
Sugar‐derived 5‐chloromethylfurfural and lignin‐derived vanillin were used to synthesize and wet‐spin a reversibly crosslinked polyurethane fibre. The fibre was selectively recycled from a mixture of cotton and PET by heating them to reverse the crosslinking of the polyurethane in dimethylformamide.
