A duoethnographic exploration of colonialism in the cultural layer of the objective psyche

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Psychology, Volume 68, Issue 1, Page 27-47, February 2023., 2023
Abstract Using a duoethnological approach, supported by Jung’s theory of archetypes and the layered objective psyche, the paper demonstrates how a duoethnological encounter can lead to new formulations of archetypal theory that challenge attitudes to diversity.

Boom, bust, action! How communities can cope with boom‐bust cycles in unconventional oil and gas development

open access: yesReview of Policy Research, Volume 39, Issue 5, Page 541-569, September 2022., 2022
Abstract Scholarship on boom‐busts cycles in resource extraction often assumes that affected resource‐rich communities are at best reactive, at worst helpless, in the face of the large, exogenous shocks this cycle visits upon them. Researchers infrequently examine what communities themselves can do to improve their economic prospects and residents ...

Does Entrepreneurship Work? Understanding What Policy Entrepreneurs Do and Whether It Matters

open access: yesPolicy Studies Journal, Volume 49, Issue 4, Page 968-991, November 2021., 2021
When a major policy change occurs, policy entrepreneurs—advocates who devote substantial time, energy, and resources to campaigning for a specific policy outcome—are often credited as critical influences. However, there has been a little quantitative, large‐n cross‐sectional study of whether policy entrepreneurship effectuates policy change, how policy

Social Networks and Policy Entrepreneurship: How Relationships Shape Municipal Decision Making about High‐Volume Hydraulic Fracturing

open access: yesPolicy Studies Journal, Volume 45, Issue 3, Page 414-441, August 2017., 2017
Well‐resourced and well‐connected individuals, or “policy entrepreneurs,” often play an important role in advocating and securing the adoption of policies. There is a striking lack of inquiry into the ways that social networks shape the ability of these actors to achieve their aims, including the ways in which network ties may channel policy conflict ...

Achieving Excellent Strength–Ductility in Nb‐Si Superalloys via Stable Bi‐Phases Structure and Nano‐Precipitation Behaviors

open access: yesRare Metals, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nb‐Si‐based superalloys are considered as the most potential candidate materials for nickel‐based superalloys due to the lower density and higher using temperature. Here, a type of stable Nbss/γNb5Si3 bi‐phases structure with a coherent interface has been successfully designed. Additionally, the Nbss and γNb5Si3 phases showcase the orientation

On the Damage Tolerance of Diffusion Bonded Titanium–Aluminum Phase Biomimetic Composites

open access: yesRare Metals, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The biomimetic design principles of natural structures involve the strategic integration of stiff and compliant phases to synergistically enhance strength and toughness. Its evolutionary refined natural armor, characterized by a specialized microarchitecture, enables superior damage tolerance.

Advancing Water Security in the Tropical and Subtropical Regions: An Integrative Topic Modeling Approach

open access: yesWorld Water Policy, Volume 12, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Water security in tropical regions faces escalating pressures from climate change, land‐use shifts, and population growth. We conducted a bibliometric review of 1146 peer‐reviewed articles (1964–2023) on tropical water security. Latent Dirichlet Allocation identified 13 thematic topics and their evolution. Publications rose sharply after 2012,

An Intelligent Fluid Discharge Control System for Oil-Well Fracture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
