Tolerability and the effect on skin Staphylococcus pseudintermedius density of repeated diluted sodium hypochlorite (bleach) baths at 0.005% in healthy dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 34, Issue 6, Page 489-494, December 2023., 2023
Background – Dilute sodium hypochlorite (bleach) baths at 0.005% concentration twice weekly have been shown to markedly reduce the severity of atopic dermatitis in children, yet no tolerability and efficacy data are available for this treatment in dogs.

Beyond genocide: Towards an improved analysis and understanding of the Syrian regime's mass atrocity crimes in the Syrian Civil War

open access: yesDigest of Middle East Studies, Volume 32, Issue 4, Page 300-320, Fall 2023., 2023
Abstract In the course of the Syrian Civil War, prominent former Syrian Regime politicians, human rights observers, and foreign observers have accused the Syrian Regime of committing genocide against the country's Sunni majority. This article views these accusations as part of a wider politicization of genocide, and instead progresses beyond them to ...

Association of reproductive traits with captive‐ versus wild‐sourced birds in trade

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 37, Issue 4, August 2023., 2023
Abstract The wildlife trade is a billion‐dollar global business, involving millions of people, thousands of species, and hundreds of millions of individual organisms. Unravelling whether trade targets reproductively distinct species and whether this preference varies between captive‐ and wild‐sourced species is a crucial question.

Chemical and microbiological stability of diluted ceftazidime in three different solutions under three storage temperatures over a 28 day period

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 32, Issue 5, Page 456-e124, October 2021., 2021
Background – Ceftazidime (CAZ) solutions are being used based on anecdotal reports for otitis externa complicated by multidrug‐resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MDR PA). The chemical and microbiological stability of these proposed compounded solutions have not been evaluated, and likely are affected by the diluent and storage duration or temperature ...

South as a Sight ‘南方’, from a branch to a necessity to World Literature

open access: yesJournal of Research in Social Science and Humanities, 2023
In the discussion and debates on the world literature system, methodologies and methods is a topic that is valued. Moretti and Apter have prominent different opinions on the adoption of digital or abstract data outside texts and contexts. The way Moretti views the world literature system is highly based on historiography and studies of the Annual ...

open access: yesGongye shui chuli, 2022

open access: yesGongye shui chuli, 2015

open access: yesGongye shui chuli, 2016

The Normative Shield: How the BRICS Loose Alliance Promotes Authoritarian Resilience

open access: yesWorld Affairs, Volume 189, Issue 3, Fall 2026.
ABSTRACT This article investigates whether the BRICS grouping strategically deploys high‐level diplomatic visits to bolster incumbent autocrats facing domestic instability, thereby promoting “authoritarian durability.” Utilizing a novel dataset of official visits by the five core members (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) between 1991 and
