四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2006 提出了一种将KNN(K近邻)和支持向量机相结合的字符识别算法.首先用KNN对字符进行判断,如果输出的置信度大于阈值,则认为分类正确;如果小于阈值则采用支持向量机进行判决.改进了SVM分类器,通过调整支持向量机的分类超平面改进了支持向量机的性能.将算法应用到实际的车牌字符识别中,识别结果表明,这种方法在提高识别速度的同时,有效提高了字符的识别精度.

Gaoya dianqi, 2015 针对支持向量机中参数选择严重影响分类效果的特点,提出采用差分进化算法对核函数g和惩罚因子c进行优化,得到最优的支持向量机模型,用于变压器的故障诊断。在简单介绍支持向量机的基础上,分析了采用差分进化算法对支持向量机优化的可行性。通过将收集的数据样本进行预处理,再利用差分进化的变异、交叉和选择对高斯径向基核函数进行优化,搜索出最优（c,g）,并对得到的参数进行验证,获得最优的支持向量机模型。仿真实验表明,与SVM、GRID-SVM、GA-SVM、PSO-SVM相比,该方法误判率最低、全局寻优能力及鲁棒性较好。

Gaoya dianqi, 2011 高压断路器故障的早期诊断是有效提高电力系统运行可靠性的重要手段,笔者提出应用高性能的支持向量机（SVM）进行高压断路器的机械故障诊断。支持向量机核函数参数的选择直接影响分类结果的好坏,该诊断方法采用群智能算法PSO确定支持向量机中核函数的最优参数以提升分类器性能,将从高压断路器的机械参数信号中提取的动作特性特征量作为支持向量机训练和识别的样本。试验结果表明,该方法确实达到了较高的故障诊断正确率。
