American badgers, a medium‐sized carnivore occurring in much of North America, are important predators in prairie landscapes though our understanding of their habitat use requirements in these areas is unclear. We used a multi‐scale approach to understand American badger habitat use at both local and landscape scales.

This study provided information on the abundance, population demography and activity pattern of an endangered species of Gekko badenii at the type locality of Ba Den Mountain, southern Vietnam. Local and international use and trade in Gekko badenii for food consumption and as pet were investigated and conservation recommendations highlighted.

Gaoligong Mountain is home to a large number of rare and endangered species, but the effectiveness of conservation measures in the Gaoligong Mountain Nature Reserve remains uncertain. We predicted the potential distribution areas of 361 rare and endangered wild plants in southern Gaoligong Mountain under current and future climate change scenarios and ...

Guanotrophy: Waterbirds Pay for Using Resources at Their Wintering Habitats 鸟粪营养学 :水鸟在越冬栖息地使用资源后留下回报
Significant waterbird colonisation was recorded in the wintering period (October through March in 2018–2019 and 2019–2020) in wetlands on Central Asian and East Australasian Flyways. Different limnochemical conditions influenced nitrate and phosphate concentrations.

Understanding the potential impacts of projected climate change scenarios on critically endangered species is critical to guide effective conservation planning. Species distribution modelling techniques such as MaxEnt are increasingly becoming important tools for predicting habitat shifts in response to projected climate change scenarios.

Influence of microclimate and forest management on bat species faced with global change
Abstract Climate refugia, areas where climate is expected to remain relatively stable, can offer a near‐term safe haven for species sensitive to warming temperatures and drought. Understanding the influence of temperature, moisture, and disturbance on sensitive species is critical during this time of rapid climate change.

Collective effects of rising average temperatures and heat events on oviparous embryos
Abstract Survival of the immobile embryo in response to rising temperature is important to determine a species’ vulnerability to climate change. However, the collective effects of 2 key thermal characteristics associated with climate change (i.e., rising average temperature and acute heat events) on embryonic survival remain largely unexplored. We used

Potential distribution scenarios of Ophiophagus hannah in current and future climate change scenarios indicate highly suitable areas for this reptile will increase over the period and will shift towards the north of Asia. This may have a prospective alteration in human‐snake encounters in these areas of Asia accordingly.
