, 2016 汉语教师志愿者被誉为传播中国文化的使者。他们对于自身角色的认同、实现状况决定着中国文化对外传播的效果和中国国家形象的建构。对汉语教师志愿者的角色研究具有重要的现实意义和理论价值。从角色（身份）认同理论来看，汉语教师志愿者至少拥有两重角色，一是作为教授汉语的教师，二是作为传播中国文化的文化使者。语言作为文化的载体，本身就是文化的一部分，本文认为这两种角色最终应统一于志愿者的文化传播角色，传播中国文化是志愿者的终极使命。同时，从文化传播过程论来看，志愿者至少在传播过程中的两个环节发挥作用，一是作为传播的媒介，
