贵州高原喀斯特环境退化过程土壤质量的生物学特性研究

open access: yesShuitu Baochi Xuebao, 2003

How Do I Measure up? Social Influence and L2 Motivation in the Algorithmic Age

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Comparative thinking is a fundamental human drive and a hallmark of contemporary life. For social action, such as the learning and use of additional languages, a target for appraisal (an L2 attribute) is evaluated in relation to a comparison standard (an appraiser's standpoint).

Exploring Chinese International Students’ Intercultural Competence in Australian University Classrooms: Challenges and Opportunities

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With the increasing number of Chinese international students in Australian universities, intercultural competence has become a critical factor influencing their interactions with Australian tutors in university classroom settings. Existing research often examines students’ intercultural competence from a single‐method or single‐perspective ...

Assessing Argument Quality in L2 Argumentative Writing: Integrating Argument Elements and Intellectual Standards

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Many existing rubrics for L2 argumentative writing prioritize form‐based linguistic accuracy and complexity while insufficiently addressing substantive argumentative rigor and effectiveness. This limitation is further complicated by cross‐cultural variation in rhetorical conventions and educational practices, which challenge the direct ...

High‐Value Targeted Conversion of Copper Slag as LiFePO4 Material for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The massive stockpiling of copper slag (CS) presents severe environmental and resource‐waste challenges. Existing strategies for CS valorization typically yield low‐value‐added products. Herein, we propose an innovative hierarchical regulation approach to transform CS into high‐performance LiFePO4 (LFP) cathode materials.

An Environmental‐Friendly and Sustainable Ramie‐Derived Co/N‐Doped Carbon With Dual Function for Synergistic Polysulfide Regulation in Li‐S Batteries

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The dual challenges of environmental sustainability and rising energy needs underscore the necessity for high‐energy‐density batteries, making lithium–sulfur (LSB) systems with their high theoretical capacity highly attractive. However, the polysulfide shuttle, coupled with inherent kinetic limitations in the sulfur reduction reaction ...
