Unravelling the processes between phenotypic plasticity and population dynamics in migratory birds
This work highlights the critical role of the stopover stage of northward migration in the influence of migration tactics and population dynamics of migratory birds across the whole annual cycle. The authors also demonstrate the key processes linking individual migration tactics and population dynamics.

为掌握西洞庭湖越冬黑鹳(Ciconia nigra)的种群数量、空间分布、生活习性及影响因子,给洞庭湖黑鹳监测及保护提供依据。对湖南西洞庭湖2015—2019年越冬黑鹳监测数据进行统计分析。结果表明:西洞庭湖越冬黑鹳种群数量在48只左右,保持相对稳定;种群结构以成鸟为主。越冬期黑鹳全部栖息在自然保护区内部的浅滩生境,成群聚集;半边湖是黑鹳的主要栖息地点。觅食地最适水深为10—30 cm。夜栖在觅食地附近的芦苇丛中。2019年越冬期黑鹳主要行为活动以休息和觅食为主。食物以鱼类和螺类为主 ...

2020—2021年越冬季,在湖南省桃源水电站坝下,对濒危物种中华秋沙鸭(Mergus squamatus)进行行为观察并录制视频,共分辨、记录了中华秋沙鸭越冬期的10种姿势、46种动作和120种行为,构建了中华秋沙鸭越冬期坝下行为谱及PAE(posture-act-environment)编码系统。依据行为功能,将中华秋沙鸭越冬期坝下所有行为划分为休憩行为、基础运动行为、维持行为、觅食行为、排泄行为、警戒行为、求偶交配行为和其他群体社会行为8大类,其中基础运动行为、维持行为、觅食行为及警戒行为类目最多,

ABSTRACT Orthographic and phonological similarities between first (L1) and second (L2) languages can facilitate L2 processing. Particularly, L1‐Chinese learners of L2‐Japanese can benefit from the shared morphosyllabic Chinese characters (Japanese kanji/Chinese hanzi) because of their similar orthographies.

Significant waterbird colonisation was recorded in the wintering period (October through March in 2018–2019 and 2019–2020) in wetlands on Central Asian and East Australasian Flyways. Different limnochemical conditions influenced nitrate and phosphate concentrations.

白头鹤是长江中下游的大型越冬水鸟,安徽升金湖是其在国内主要的越冬地之一。近年来,由于生境退化,越冬种群的数量在萎缩,种群的越冬生态研究十分必要。2007年10月~2008年4月,我们在升金湖对白头鹤的主要分布地点进行了调查,并对集群情况进行了观察。升金湖白头鹤觅食地主要分布于湖区外围的稻田,夜栖于上湖核心区内。整个越冬期,白头鹤大部分以5只以上的群类型觅食,以家庭集群活动仅占越冬集群数的29.14%。随着越冬期的变化,集群大小发生改变:越冬前期,越冬鹤以家族群活动频率最高,占集群的35.64%,30 ...
