A legal assessment of private land conservation in South America

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 37, Issue 4, August 2023., 2023
Abstract Privately protected areas (PPAs) are a potentially innovative conservation tool. Legal recognition is necessary for their success, especially where there are institutional challenges to nature conservation, such as in South America. Although PPAs have increased in South America since the early 2000s, there is a critical information gap ...

Insights from basic adjunctive examinations of GCK‐MODY, HNF1A‐MODY, and type 2 diabetes: A systemic review and meta‐analysis GCK‐MODY、HNF1A‐MODY和2型糖尿病的基础辅助检查的见解:一项系统回顾和meta分析

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 6, Page 519-531, June 2023., 2023
Highlights For distinguishing glucokinase maturity‐onset diabetes of the young (GCK‐MODY) from hepatocyte nuclear factor 1‐α MODY (HNF1A‐MODY), total triglycerides may help during the follow‐up period. In order to discriminate GCK‐MODY from MODY‐like type 2 diabetes, high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein may be a suitable indicator in the early stage ...

Facilitating biodiversity conservation through partnerships to achieve transformative outcomes

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 37, Issue 3, June 2023., 2023
Abstract Conservation biology is a mission‐driven discipline that must navigate a new relationship between conservation and science. Because conservation is a social and political as well as an ecological project, conservation biologists must practice interdisciplinarity and collaboration.

Bearing performance of wallboards in an electrostatic precipitator casing in consideration of stressed skin effect [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
For a wallboard in an electrostatic precipitator casing playing stressed skin effect under vertical uniform pressure on the top, the failure mode and bearing capacity were investigated by nonlinear finite element method.

How to talk about crises? Leaders' narrative strategies during the COVID‐19 vaccination campaign in Italy and France

open access: yesPolicy Studies Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Defined by threat, urgency, and uncertainty, crises produce opportunities for government leaders to exploit and create meaning around their policy decisions in such unstable circumstances. In narrating their preferred policy solutions, one of the tools governments can use is relying on evidence‐based information.

Placental biomarker and fetoplacental Doppler abnormalities are strongly associated with placental pathology in pregnancies with small‐for‐gestational‐age fetus: prospective study

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 65, Issue 6, Page 749-760, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective Placental dysfunction can result in small‐for‐gestational age (SGA) or fetal growth restriction (FGR). The aim of this prospective cohort study was to assess the association of the cerebroplacental ratio (CPR) and other more conventional fetoplacental Doppler indices, circulating placental growth factor (PlGF) levels and soluble fms ...

A blinded randomised split‐body clinical trial evaluating the effect of fluorescent light energy on antimicrobial management of canine interdigital furunculosis

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 3, Page 291-301, June 2025.
Background – Canine interdigital furunculosis (CIF) is a complex, relapsing inflammatory condition, typically complicated by deep bacterial infections requiring prolonged systemic antibiotics. Hypothesis/Objectives – This split‐body study, where dogs acted as their own control, evaluated whether the adjunctive use of fluorescent light energy (FLE ...

应用剪滞理论研究纳米结构生物材料力学行为 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006

The interactive effects of policies: Insights for policy feedback theory from a qualitative study on homelessness

open access: yesPolicy Studies Journal, Volume 53, Issue 2, Page 243-262, May 2025.
Abstract The policy feedback literature has long argued that policies influence politics. Several scholars have examined the interpretive and resource effects of policies on political participation. However, how different policy design characteristics – say their generosity and their delivery – interact to influence political engagement requires ...

波形钢腹板钢管混凝土模型拱面内极限承载力试验研究 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
