Asymmetric Capacitive Deionization Enhanced Removal of Fluoride by Zirconium Titanium Bimetallic/Biomass Carbon: A Low‐Cost Engineering Exploration Study

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT With the development of industry, fluoride pollution has become increasingly severe. Transition metal phosphides, featuring excellent electrical conductivity and electrochemical stability, are promising electrode materials for capacitive deionization (CDI).

MXene@BN Heterostructures Supported Polytetrafluoroethylene Coatings for Superior Friction Performance in Hydrothermal Environments

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Mechanical dynamic sealing components are usually subjected to the erosion of a hydrothermal environment; thus, the selected service materials must meet stringent requirements for superior self‐lubrication, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability.

Millimeter/Nano‐Structured Metal Monolithic Catalysts: A Privileged Opportunity for Sustainable Water Purification

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Cross‐scale assembly of metal (sub) nanoparticles and/or single atoms into millimeter/nanostructured metal monolithic catalysts (Min‐SMCs) is highly appealing for sustainable water cleanup, due to energy‐efficient catalyst recyclability, high infrastructure compatibility, and low metal‐releasing risks.

A Topology‐Guided Design Strategy for Polymerized Naphthoquinone Cathodes in Rechargeable Aluminium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Rechargeable aluminium‐ion batteries (RAIBs) are promising candidates for sustainable energy storage owing to their low cost, safety, and resource abundance. However, the lack of durable cathode materials restricts their development. Here, we propose a topology‐guided design strategy by synthesizing three thioether‐bridged naphthoquinone ...

Overreliance on Orthographic Similarity in L2‐Japanese Conceptual Processing by L1‐Chinese Learners

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, Volume 36, Issue 2, Page 1807-1820, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Orthographic and phonological similarities between first (L1) and second (L2) languages can facilitate L2 processing. Particularly, L1‐Chinese learners of L2‐Japanese can benefit from the shared morphosyllabic Chinese characters (Japanese kanji/Chinese hanzi) because of their similar orthographies.

城市轻轨高架桥连续箱梁时效变形试验 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
结合北京地铁13号线八达岭高架桥中预应力混凝土高架桥连续箱梁的实桥变形观测试验,以试验数据回归分析了基于综合时效的梁体后期变形.分析结果表明:统计回归所得的时效变形系数,其早期值比按我国铁路规范及ACI(American Concrete Institute)规范修正式计算所得的徐变系数略偏大,终极系数却偏小,同类轻轨高架桥梁结构后期变形按规范设计有足够的安全保证,但应严格控制早期时效变形 ...

Self‐Consumption Translation: Exploring Interlingual Translation Within Multilingual (mainland) China

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 714-724, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Interlingual translation, as defined by Roman Jakobson, refers to the transfer of meaning between languages. However, this concept has often been conflated with linguistic shifts between distinct cultures and nation‐states. To challenge this misconception, I propose the concept of self‐consumption translation (SCT), a subfield of interlingual ...

低温低浊进水条件下壳聚糖助滤效果研究

open access: yesGongye shui chuli, 2019

A Mini Review on Evolution of High‐Entropy Alloy Design: From Experimental Approaches to Machine Learning Integration

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT High‐entropy alloys (HEAs) have emerged as a transformative class of materials distinguished by their complex chemical compositions, unique microstructures, and remarkable mechanical and functional properties. Traditionally, the discovery and optimization of HEAs have relied on conventional methods, including trial‐and‐error experimentation ...
