The effect of deformed states on β− and E1 decays to the 0 and 6.06 MeV 0+ states of 16O
Nuclear Physics A, 1968Abstract The ratio of transition matrix elements for decays to the 0 and 6.06 MeV 0 + states of 16 O is calculated. The transitions considered are the β − decay of the ground state of 16 N and the E1 decay of the 13.1 MeV 1 − state in 16 O. Deformed 2p-2h and 4p-4h admixtures are included in the 0 + states.

Intrinsic deformations of collective 0+ states
Zeitschrift für Physik A Hadrons and nuclei, 1969It is shown that 0+ pairing vibrations are associated with rather large mean square values of the quadrupole moment, indicating a pronounced intrinsic deformation. This deformation is demonstrated using a two level model, where the pairing vibration can be treated analytically within the quasi boson approximation. The results are compared with the data
