The computerisation of Australian general practice 1998_2001 - what did we get for AU$15 000 000?
In 1998 the Commonwealth government provided AU$15 000 000 towards a three-year project to support the computerisation of Australian general practice.

Mid-infrared supermirrors with finesse exceeding 400 000
For trace gas sensing and precision spectroscopy, optical cavities incorporating low-loss mirrors are indispensable for path length and optical intensity enhancement.

Simulation of the Rotational Sublevels of the Ground and the First Excited Vibrational States of H2S Using Resummation Methods [PDF]
The rotational sublevels of the key (000) and (010) vibrational states of the H2S molecule were modeled with an accuracy close to experimental uncertainty using the generating function and Euler approaches. The predictive ability of the Hamiltonian parameters derived is tested against variational calculations.

Stark Broadening and White Dwarfs [PDF]
White dwarf and pre-white dwarf atmospheres are one of the best examples for the application of Stark broadening research results in astrophysics, due to plasma conditions very favorable for this line broadening mechanism. For example in hot hydrogen-deficient (pre-) white dwarf stars Teff = 75 000 K - 180 000 K and log g = 5.5-8 [cgs].

A Study of Cool White Dwarfs in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 12 [PDF]
In this work we study white dwarfs where $30\,000\,\text{K} {>} \mathrm{T}_{\rm{eff}} {>} 5\,000\,\text{K}$ to compare the differences in the cooling of DAs and non-DAs and their formation channels. Our final sample is composed by nearly $13\,000$ DAs and more than $3\,000$ non-DAs that are simultaneously in the SDSS DR12 spectroscopic database and in ...

POLLUX : a database of synthetic stellar spectra [PDF]
Synthetic spectra are needed to determine fundamental stellar and wind parameters of all types of stars. They are also used for the construction of theoretical spectral libraries helpful for stellar population synthesis. Therefore, a database of theoretical spectra is required to allow rapid and quantitative comparisons to spectroscopic data.

Orientation-dependent chemistry and band-bending of Ti on polar ZnO surfaces [PDF]
Orientation-dependent reactivity and band-bending are evidenced upon Ti deposition (1-10 \AA) on the polar ZnO(0001)-Zn and ZnO(000$\bar{1}$)-O surfaces. At the onset of the Ti deposition, a downward band-bending was observed on ZnO(000$\bar{1}$)-O while no change occurred on ZnO(0001)-Zn.
