Low‐Dimensional MOF Nanoarchitectonics: Progress in MOF‐2D Material Hybrid Architectures for Energy Conversion and Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights the integration of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and two‐dimensional (2D) materials through dimensional interface engineering. By addressing intrinsic limitations like poor conductivity and agglomeration, these hybrid architectures optimize interfacial charge and mass transport.

3-(1-{[1-(4-Bromophenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl]methyl}piperidin-4-yl)-6-fluoro-1,2-benzoxazole hemihydrate

open access: yesIUCrData, 2016
The title compound, C21H19BrFN5O·0.5H2O, crystallizes as a hemihydrate with the water molecule located on a twofold rotation axis. The piperidine ring has a chair conformation, whereas the triazole and the benzisoxazole rings are planar (r.m.s ...

Activating a Metallization Switch for Record Hydrogen Evolution in Single‐Atom Modified Polar MOF Piezocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Piezocatalytic hydrogen evolution enables the conversion of mechanical energy into chemical fuels, but its efficiency is constrained by a trade‐off between piezoelectric polarization and electronic conductivity. Strong piezoelectric polarization is essential for sufficient driving force, yet highly polar materials typically suffer from poor ...

Massive stars exploding in a He-rich circumstellar medium – V. Observations of the slow-evolving SN Ibn OGLE-2012-SN-006 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We present optical observations of the peculiar Type Ibn supernova (SN Ibn) OGLE-2012-SN-006, discovered and monitored by the Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment-IV survey, and spectroscopically followed by Public ESO Spectroscopic Survey of ...

Optical Manipulation of Multiferroic Phases in BiFeO3 Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
At the strain‐driven morphotropic phase boundary, optical control over the multiferroic rhombohedral and tetragonal phase mixture is demonstrated using above‐bandgap light illumination. The photoinduced charge carriers modify the electrostatic environment and induce the conversion into a single tetragonal phase.

3D Printed Multimaterial Microfluidic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce a biocompatible, high resolution photopolymer resin that closely mimics the Young's Modulus (elasticity) and reversible stretchability (no hysteresis) of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), enabling the fabrication of microfluidic transistors (i.e., microvalves capable of proportional amplification) by multimaterial stereolithography (mSLA ...

Efficacy of azimsulfuron against complex weed flora in transplanted rice (Oryza sativa) under rainfed shallow lowland

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2016
A field experiment was conducted during the wet seasons of 2010 and 2011 at ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack to study the efficacy of azimsulfuron for controlling broad spectrum of weeds in transplanted rice (Oryza sativa L.) field under ...

Mapping of Physiological Signals From Wireless Battery‐Free Implants With Plane‐Wave Ultrasound Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Combined approach of electromagnetic (Power) and ultrasound (data harvesting) waves is proposed to address the miniaturized ultrasonic implants. Electromagnetic waves trigger the piezoelectric element to generate the acoustic pulse which is modulated by the variations in the sensor's impedance.

Bioinspired Soft‐Skeleton Robotics With Cooperative Shape Transformation and Stiffness Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A bioinspired soft‐skeleton robot that integrates variable‐stiffness chain skeletons into a soft textile skin is developed. The chain skeletons are highly flexible initially but can stiffen upon pneumatic actuation, enabling large deformation and enhanced load‐bearing capacity.

Stylar end browning: a physiological disorder of Indian jujube (Ziziphus mauritiana) fruits

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2016
A physiological disorder has been noted in Indian jujube or ber (Ziziphus mauritiana Lamk.) cv. Chhuhara, wherein tip (stylar end) of the ber fruits turned brown. The disorder has been found to aggravate with the progress in the maturity.
