Analysis on Cracking and Perforation Defects of Heavy Plate Rolled from Large-Scale Ingot and Optimization of Casting Process

open access: yesTeshugang, 2013
An analysis on cracking and perforation defects occurred in 230 ~ 400 mm plates rolled from 28 ~40 t ingot of low carbon steel S355JR and S355J2 (/% : 0. 17 ~0. 20C, 0. 30 ~0. 55Si, 1.40 - 1.60Mn, W0.020P, W0.015S, 0. 020 ~ 0. 040Al, 0. 020 ~0. 030Nb) is

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.

Effects of timing and morphology of blastomere cleavage on gene expression profiles of bovine in vitro fertilized embryos

open access: yesThe Journal of Reproduction and Development
To efficiently produce high-quality bovine calves by transferring embryos obtained from in vitro fertilization (IVF), it is important to evaluate their ability to conceive and their ability to develop into normal litters. In this study, we aimed

Utility of the Measurement of Carboxyhemoglobin Level at the Site of Acute Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Rural Areas

open access: yesScientifica, 2016
Objective. This study examined the hypothesis that correlations exist between the carbon monoxide exposure time and the carboxyhemoglobin concentration at the site of carbon monoxide poisoning, using a pulse carbon monoxide oximeter in rural areas or the

Virus-Induced Flowering by Apple Latent Spherical Virus Vector: Effective Use to Accelerate Breeding of Grapevine

open access: yesViruses, 2020
Apple latent spherical virus (ALSV) was successfully used in promoting flowering (virus-induced flowering, VIF) in apple and pear seedlings. In this paper, we report the use of ALSV vectors for VIF in seedlings and in vitro cultures of grapevine.

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...

THE EFFECT OF BIOPREPARATIONS ON THE FORMATION OF RHIZOSPHERE MICROORGANISM POPULATIONS OF SOYBEAN (Glycine max (L.) Merrill.)

open access: yesActa Scientiarum Polonorum: Hortorum Cultus, 2005
The object of a field experiment conducted in the years 2003–2004 was the rhizosphere soil of soybean ‘Mazowia’ cv. Before the sowing, the seeds were dressed with biopreparations (Biochikol 020 PC, Biosept 33 SL, Polyversum) or fungicide (Oxafun T). The

Long-Term Effect of Crop Succession Systems on Soil Chemical and Physical Attributes and Soybean Yield

open access: yesPlants
Most soybean producers in the Cerrado biome use the direct seeding system, making it essential to cultivate cash or cover crops in the off-season, to promote soil protection, as well as increase organic matter, which is directly related to improvements ...

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...
