This study describes the chemical speciation of Pb, Zn, Cu, Cr, As, and Sn in soil of former tin mining catchment. Total five sites were selected for sampling and subsequent subsamples were collected from each site in order to create a composite sample for analysis.

There have been various claims that the Equivalence Principle, as originally formulated by Einstein, presents several difficulties when extended to the quantum domain, even in the regime of weak gravity.

Quantum discord and entanglement in grover search algorithm
Imperfections and noise in realistic quantum computers may seriously affect the accuracy of quantum algorithms. In this article we explore the impact of static imperfections on quantum entanglement as well as non-entangled quantum correlations in Grover ...

Efficient Concentration Protocols for the Single-Photon Entanglement State with Polarization Feature
We propose two efficient entanglement concentration protocols (ECPs) for arbitrary less-entangled single-photon entanglement state, in which the photon qubit has the polarization feature.

Propagation and survival of frequency‐bin entangled photons in metallic nanostructures
Abstract We report on the design of two plasmonic nanostructures and the propagation of frequency‐bin entangled photons through them. The experimental findings clearly show the robustness of frequency‐bin entanglement, which survives after interactions with both a hybrid plasmo‐photonic structure, and a nano‐pillar array.

Diverging scaling with converging multisite entanglement in odd and even quantum Heisenberg ladders
We investigate finite-size scaling of genuine multisite entanglement in the ground state of quantum spin-1/2 Heisenberg ladders. We obtain the ground states of odd- and even-legged Heisenberg ladder Hamiltonians and compute genuine multisite entanglement,

Detecting entanglement of unknown quantum states with random measurements
In quantum information theory, the reliable and effective detection of entanglement is of paramount importance. However, given an unknown state, assessing its entanglement is a challenging task.

Comparison of memory thresholds for planar qudit geometries
We introduce and analyze a new type of decoding algorithm called general color clustering, based on renormalization group methods, to be used in qudit color codes.

We consider a sonic black-hole scenario where an atom condensate flows through a subsonic–supersonic interface. We discuss several criteria that reveal the existence of non-classical correlations resulting from the quantum character of the spontaneous ...

Insights into phase transitions and entanglement from density functional theory
Density functional theory (DFT) has met great success in solid state physics, quantum chemistry and in computational material sciences. In this work we show that DFT could shed light on phase transitions and entanglement at finite temperatures ...
