The soft state of the black hole transient source MAXI J1820+070: emission from the edge of the plunge region? [PDF]
The Galactic black hole X-ray binary MAXI J1820+070 had a bright outburst in 2018 when it became the second brightest X-ray source in the sky. It was too bright for X-ray CCD instruments such as XMM–Newton and Chandra, but was well observed by photon ...

Multiwavelength observation of MAXI J1820+070 with MAGIC, VERITAS and H.E.S.S. [PDF]
MAXI J1820+070 is a new low-mass microquasar hosting a black hole recently discovered in X-rays by the MAXI instrument. It is the counterpart of ASASSN-18ey, discovered in optical a few days before by ASAS-SN. This source underwent a major outburst in 2018, during which it completed the typical "q-shaped" path in the hardness-intensity diagram.

OHP-070 Satisfaction with Electronic Prescribing in a General Hospital [PDF]
Background Electronic prescribing (EP) is a useful tool for improving the safety and adaptability of the prescription process. Surveys enable us to find out the satisfaction of users and potential areas for improvement. Purpose To find out how satisfied doctors and nurses of the Internal Medicine Service (IMS) were with EP. Materials and Methods

Abstract Personality can be described at different levels of abstraction. Whereas the Big Five domains are the dominant level of analysis, several researchers have called for more fine‐grained approaches, such as facet‐level analysis. Personality facets allow more comprehensive descriptions, more accurate predictions of outcomes, and a better ...

Most in vitro cancer models lack cellular diversity, functional complexity, and clinical relevance. This work highlights the generation of an innovative dynamic tetraculture with autologous patient‐derived cells within a vascularized tumor‐on‐chip, as well as the recapitulation of endothelial anergy features induced by the tumor microenvironment ...

Abstract This study explored the validity of person judgements by targets and their acquaintances (‘informants’) in longitudinally predicting a broad range of psychologically meaningful life experiences. Judgements were gathered from four sources (targets, N = 189; and three types of informants, N = 1352), and their relative predictive validity was ...

The path integral of unimodular gravity [PDF]
We compute the one-loop effective action in unimodular gravity, starting from two different classical formulations of the theory. We find that the effective action is the same in both cases, and agrees with the one of General Relativity.

This study defines the structure, mechanics, and mechanobiology of the fibrocartilage pericellular matrix (PCM) using the murine meniscus, showing how collagen V deficiency alters PCM properties and disrupts cell mechanosensitive signaling. Findings emphasize the critical role of PCM in fibrocartilage mechanobiology and suggest targeting it can enhance

Apollo-Soyuz pamphlet no. 8: Zero-g technology [PDF]
The behavior of liquids in zero gravity environments is discussed with emphasis on foams, wetting, and wicks. A multipurpose electric furnace (MA-010) for the high temperature processing of metals and salts in zero-g is described.
