Development of Calcium‐Based Coatings to Mitigate Vanadate Corrosion
Materials and Corrosion, EarlyView.Ca‐rich coatings can suppress the corrosive attack of molten V2O5 by forming Ca2 V2 O7 and Ca V2 O6. For this, a large Ca‐reservoir is key to mitigate corrosion at 600°C and 700°C. ABSTRACT Vanadate corrosion occurs in devices powered by heavy fuel oil, such as stationary turbines.

Pest Management Science, EarlyView.Combining an essential oil (EO)‐based formulation with copper effectively controls Plasmopara viticola. Field trials showed a 92–99% protection with lower copper inputs, achieving a 45% copper reduction without compromising efficacy. This approach supports EO‐based products as sustainable alternatives for grapevine downy mildew management.
