High-resolution photoelectron-spectroscopic investigation of the H$_2$O$^+$ cation in its ${\mathrm {\tilde A^+}}$ electronic state

open access: yes, 2016
The photoelectron spectrum of water has been recorded in the vicinity of the ${\mathrm {\tilde A^+}}$ $\leftarrow$ $\tilde{\mathrm{X}}$ transition between 112 000 and 116 000 cm$^{-1}$ (13.89-14.38 eV).

DNA Barcoding‐Enabled Tracking of Lipid Nanoparticles: Drug‐Loading‐Dependent Biodistribution and Tumor Microenvironment Targeting

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, lipid nanoparticles are tracked in vivo using DNA barcodes to determine how varying drug loadings affect their delivery behaviors in mice. A cost‐effective strategy is developed for simultaneously monitoring the biodistribution of a library of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs).

Apollo-Soyuz pamphlet no. 8: Zero-g technology [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
The behavior of liquids in zero gravity environments is discussed with emphasis on foams, wetting, and wicks. A multipurpose electric furnace (MA-010) for the high temperature processing of metals and salts in zero-g is described.

Acceptance test report for the L-070 project [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This document contains the acceptance test report for the mechanical equipment and instrumentation installed per the L-070 project. The systems that were tested were the pump controls for the 3906 Lift Station and the 350-A Lift Station. The verification of an alarm signal installed between the 3906 lift station and the 340 Facility (3707F Bldg.) was ...

Advances and Outlook of Nickel‐Based MOFs–LDHs Materials for Energy Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
In this graphical abstract, we present the pivotal gap between the activity and stability parameters as far as intergrated Ni‐based MOF/LDF electrocatalysts are concerned. For large scale application, these two parameters should be optimized and furthermore balanced in order to promote sustainable electrocatalytic hydrogen production.

Insight-HXMT observations of jet-like corona in a black hole X-ray binary MAXI J1820+070

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Evolution of accretion disk and corona during outbursts in black hole binary systems is still unclear. Here, the authors show spectral analysis of MAXI J1820+070 and propose a scenario of a dynamical corona to explain the evolution of the reflection ...

SMYD3 Promotes Immune Evasion in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma via SREBP1‐Mediated Transactivation of CD47

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer cell‐intrinsic SMYD3 orchestrates an immunosuppressive microenvironment and impairs the response to PD‐1 blockade by reprogramming immune cells landscape in the tumor microenvironment of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The immunomodulatory function of SMYD3 is mediated via the SREBP1/CD47 pathway.

Modelling the Incremental Value of Personality Facets: The Domains‐Incremental Facets‐Acquiescence Bifactor Model

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Personality, EarlyView., 2020
Abstract Personality can be described at different levels of abstraction. Whereas the Big Five domains are the dominant level of analysis, several researchers have called for more fine‐grained approaches, such as facet‐level analysis. Personality facets allow more comprehensive descriptions, more accurate predictions of outcomes, and a better ...
