Heavy-light mesons in the epsilon-regime [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1001:070,2010, 2009
We study the finite-size scaling of heavy-light mesons in the static limit. We compute two-point functions of chiral current densities as well as pseudoscalar densities in the epsilon-regime of heavy meson Chiral Perturbation Theory (HMChPT). As expected, finite volume dependence turns out to be significant in this regime and can be predicted in the ...

A New ZZ Ceti White Dwarf Pulsator: G30-20 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We report the discovery of a new hydrogen atmosphere variable white dwarf (DAV; ZZ Ceti), G30-20, a high-amplitude, long-period pulsator. The Fourier transform of its light curve shows power around 1050-1125 s.

Performance Analysis of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy X¯ and R Control Charts

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Statistical process control (SPC) is one of the most powerful techniques for improving quality, as it is able to detect special causes of problems in processes, products and services with a remarkable degree of accuracy. Among SPC tools, X¯ and R control

N=8 Superspace Constraints for Three-dimensional Gauge Theories [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1002:070,2010, 2009
We present a systematic analysis of the N=8 superspace constraints in three space-time dimensions. The general coupling between vector and scalar supermultiplets is encoded in an SO(8) tensor W_{AB} which is a function of the matter fields and subject to a set of algebraic and super-differential relations. We show how the conformal BLG model as well as

Regularization of identity based solution in string field theory [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1010:070,2010, 2010
We demonstrate that an Erler-Schnabl type solution in cubic string field theory can be naturally interpreted as a gauge invariant regularization of an identity based solution. We consider a solution which interpolates between an identity based solution and ordinary Erler-Schnabl one.

Intracranial Compliance Assessed by Intracranial Pressure Pulse Waveform

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2021
Background: Morphological alterations in intracranial pressure (ICP) pulse waveform (ICPW) secondary to intracranial hypertension (ICP >20 mmHg) and a reduction in intracranial compliance (ICC) are well known indicators of neurological severity.

First-order flows and stabilisation equations for non-BPS extremal black holes [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1106:070,2011, 2010
We derive a generalised form of flow equations for extremal static and rotating non-BPS black holes in four-dimensional ungauged N = 2 supergravity coupled to vector multiplets. For particular charge vectors, we give stabilisation equations for the scalars, analogous to the BPS case, describing full known solutions.

Evaluation of the Microbial Profile on the Polydioxanone Membrane and the Collagen Membrane Exposed to Multi-Species Subgingival Biofilm: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesMembranes, 2023
Dehiscence in surgeries involving membranes often leads to bacterial contamination, hindering the healing process. This study assessed bacterial colonization on various membrane materials.

An Inverse Scattering Construction of the JMaRT Fuzzball [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 12 (2014) 070, 2014
We present an inverse scattering construction in STU supergravity of the two-charge single-rotation JMaRT fuzzball. The key element in our construction is the fact that with appropriate changes in the parameters, the JMaRT fuzzball can be smoothly connected to the Myers-Perry instanton.

A Broadband View on Microquasar MAXI J1820+070 during the 2018 Outburst [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The microquasar MAXI J1820+070 went into outburst from 2018 mid-March until mid-July, with several faint rebrightenings afterward. With a peak flux of approximately 4 Crab in the 20–50 keV energy range, the source was monitored across the electromagnetic
