Fragrance material review on 3-phenyl-1-propanol

Food and Chemical Toxicology, 2011
A toxicologic and dermatologic review of 3-phenyl-1-propanol when used as a fragrance ingredient is presented. 3-Phenyl-1-propanol is a member of the fragrance structural group cinnamyl phenylpropyl compounds. The common characteristic structural element of cinnamyl phenylpropyl materials is an aryl substituted primary alcohol/aldehyde/ester.

Formation of Clusters in 1‐Propanol/Water‐Mixtures

Berichte der Bunsengesellschaft für physikalische Chemie, 1981
AbstractVery sensitive and accurate elastic light scattering (LS) measurements have been carried out on mixtures of water with methanol, ethanol, 1‐propanol and 2‐propanol. Methanol showed no particular effect, while ethanol, 2‐propanol and 1‐propanol showed signs of increasing cluster formation at a composition of 1 alcohol molecule to 5 water ...

Reactions of 1-propanol and propionaldehyde on rhodium(111)

Langmuir, 1992
Temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and high resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (HREELS) were used to investigate the reactions of 1-propanol and propionaldehyde on the clean Rh(111) surface. The principal emphasis of this study was to determine the reaction pathways and intermediates involved in alcohol and aldehyde decomposition ...
