Solubility of Deferiprone in Non-Aqueous Mixtures of Polyethylene Glycol 400 and 1-Propanol at 293.2–323.2 K

open access: yesLiquids
Utilizing the shake-flask technique under atmospheric pressure (101 kPa) within the temperature range of 293.2 to 313.2 K, the experimental solubility and density values of deferiprone were determined in binary mixtures of polyethylene glycol 400 and 1 ...

Skin‐Like Tri‐Modal Sensors Based on Soft Piezoelectric and Ionic Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Inspired by the multimodal perception of human skin, a soft, skin‐like tri‐modal sensor is presented. The device incorporates an ionically conductive, piezoelectric, elastic composite as its active layer, enabling independent detection of temperature, static strain, and dynamic strain within a single two‐terminal architecture.

II. Temperature trends in the properties of simple monohydric alcohols. Molecular dynamics simulations of united atom UAMI-EW model

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics
We explore the dependence of a wide set of properties of monohydric alcohols on temperature by using the isobaric-isothermal molecular dynamics computer simulations. Namely, methanol (MeOH), ethanol (EtOH) and 1-propanol (PrOH) alcohols are studied. The

Liquid Crystal Elastomer Actuator Matrix for Large Area Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A scalable approach is used to manufacture a digitally‐controllable, 2D 5 × 5 actuator matrix. The elements of the matrix are produced by direct ink writing of a liquid crystal elastomer ‘artificial muscle’ on large‐area flexible thin‐film heaters. In optimizing the low‐power actuators, multiple heater designs and substrate materials are investigated ...
