Narrowband Detection via Charge Collection Narrowing Organic Photodetector Enabled by Low Bandgap Random Terpolymer for Biometric Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 24, June 19, 2025.
A novel low‐bandgap random terpolymer is designed for narrow band detection in charge collection narrowing (CCN) based organic photodetectors. With a relative thin active layer (<1 µm), the CCN‐based devices achieved a narrowband response of 68 nm full‐width‐at‐half‐maximum at 916 nm, together with Responsivity values of 0.13 A W−1 and dark current of ...

On determination of the geometric cosmological constant from the OPERA experiment of superluminal neutrinos

open access: yes, 2011
The recent OPERA experiment of superluminal neutrinos has deep consequences in cosmology. In cosmology a fundamental constant is the cosmological constant.

Quest for SDG‐13: The Aptness of Green Investments and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to Emission Mitigation Among Central‐African States

open access: yesSustainable Development, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 3303-3330, June 2025.
ABSTRACT The Sustainable Development Goal 13 (SDG‐13) enunciates the need to combat climate change by encouraging necessary actions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and this laudable goal was re‐echoed at COP‐28 in the UAE. Although negatively impacted by climate change, the vast literature is silent on the Central Africa (CA) region. Thus, we

Silicon Carbide Photonic Crystal Photoelectrode

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 20, May 29, 2025.
A 3C‐SiC photoelectrode with a slanted parabolic pore photonic crystal architecture enhances photogeneration for efficient photoelectrochemical water splitting through the remarkable light‐trapping capabilities of photonic crystal slow‐light modes.

Tuning Oxygen Vacancies by Construction of a SiO2@TiO2 Core−Shell Composite Structure for Boosting Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction Towards CH4

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2025.
In this work, we describe the construction of a SiO2@TiO2 core–shell composite structure through a controlled growth strategy to achieve the precise modulation of the oxygen vacancy (OV) concentration in TiO2. The abundant Ti–OV–Ti dual sites enable not only efficient adsorption and activation of CO2 but also a stable adsorption configuration of the ...

A geometrical interpretation of parity violation in gravity with torsion

open access: yes, 1998
In a space-time with torsion, the action for the gravitational field can be extended with a parity-violating piece. We show how to obtain such a piece from geometry itself, by suitably modifying the affine connection so as to include a pseudo-tensorial ...

Chronotype and depression in adolescence: Results from a UK birth cohort study

open access: yesJCPP Advances, Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2025.
Adolescents with an “evening” chronotype reported a higher number of depressive symptoms at age 14 years. Eveningness was more strongly related to depressive symptoms in females. The findings were robust even after adjustment for a wide range of environmental and biopsychosocial factors, both proximal and distal, including poor sleep quality and prior ...

An illustration of the light-front coupled-cluster method in quantum electrodynamics

open access: yes, 2012
A field-theoretic formulation of the exponential-operator technique is applied to a nonperturbative Hamiltonian eigenvalue problem in electrodynamics, quantized in light-front coordinates.

Stabilizing 2D Pt‐Based Halide Perovskites via Solvent Lone Pair Donation

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 6, February 24, 2025.
A simple method for synthesizing 2D platinum‐based halide perovskite is introduced. Within this structure, the distinctive DMSO‐Pt coordination (via k‐s mode) confers stability in the 2D form, contrasting with the 0D and unstable 3D structures reported.
