Simultaneous acquisition of 13Cα–15N and 1H–15N–15N sequential correlations in proteins: application of dual receivers in 3D HNN

Journal of Biomolecular NMR, 2011
We describe here, adaptation of the HNN pulse sequence for multiple nuclei detection using two independent receivers by utilizing the detectable (13)C(α) transverse magnetization which was otherwise dephased out in the conventional HNN experiment. It enables acquisition of 2D (13)C(α)-(15)N sequential correlations along with the standard 3D (15)N-(15)N-

A 1H, 13C, and 15N NMR spectral analysis of 15N-nitrobenzene

Journal of Magnetic Resonance (1969), 1976
Abstract Iterative analysis of the 1 H, 13 C, and 15 N NMR spectra of 15 N-nitrobenzene yielded accurate values for all 1 H 1 H, 13 C 1 H, 15 N 1 H, and 15 N 13 C coupling constants; their signs were determined partly from the spectral analysis and partly by heteronuclear double-resonance experiments. INDO MO calculations of values of J

Level structure of 16O and the reactions 15N(p, p')15N

Nuclear Physics A, 1971
Abstract The level structure of 16 O from 20 to 23 MeV has been studied by the measurement of excitation functions for the reactions 15 N(p, p') 15 N ∗ in energy increments of 20 keV. An enriched 15 N gas target was used and the 5.271–5.299 MeV doublet of positive-parity states in 15 N was resolved by means of a magnetic spectrometer.

Synthesis of 15N-labeled phthalimide

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2006
A new method for preparing 15N-labeled phthalimide from the reaction between phthalic anhydride and 15N-urea (99.34% 15N) in the presence of ortho-xylene is described in this work. Reaction conditions were the mole ratio of phthalic anhydride to 15N-urea (99.34% 15N) of 3-1 at 140 degrees C and under atmospheric pressure.

Synthesis and hyperpolarized 15N NMR studies of 15N-choline-d13

Tetrahedron, 2013
Abstract 15N-Choline-d13 was synthesized as a new biomarker for dynamic nuclear polarization, and the lifetime of the polarized signal governed by the spin–lattice relaxation time T1 was measured. 15N-Choline-d13 exhibited a T1 that was over twice as long as that of 15N-choline, and the hyperpolarized 15N signal could be observed for 1 h.

The incorporation of 15N into egg protein

Clinica Chimica Acta, 1966
Abstract 15 N was incorporated into egg protein by feeding whole yeast protein and yeast protein hydrolysate, enriched with 15 N, to laying hens. The average isotope content of egg white from four eggs obtained after the administration of labelled hydrolysate was sufficient to enable the digestion and absorption of the protein to be followed in one

15N chemical shift tensors and conformation of solid polypeptides containing 15N-labeled glycine residue by 15N NMR

Journal of Molecular Structure, 1998
Abstract The correlation between the isotropic 15 N chemical shift ( δ iso ) and 15 N chemical shift tensor components ( δ 11 , δ 22 and δ 33 ) and the main-chain conformation such as the polyglycine I (PGI: β-sheet), II (PGII: 3 1 -helix), α-helix and β-sheet forms of solid polypeptides [Gly∗,X] n consisting of 15 N-labeled glycine (Gly∗

15N magnetic resonance studies of the binding of 15N-labeled cyanide to various hemoproteins

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1977
Abstract The 15 N paramagnetic shifts of iron-bound C 15 N − were studied for myoglobin, hemoglobin, cytochrome c and other modified hemoproteins. Two characteristic 15 N resonances at 977 and 1045 ppm (with respect to 15 NO 3 − as an internal standard) were found for human adult hemoglobin cyanide, while only single resonances were observed ...

Biosynthesis of l-[15N]aspartic acid and l-[15N]alanine by immobilized bacteria

Analytical Biochemistry, 1982
Abstract Recently developed biotechnological procedures were adopted for the labeling of l -[15N]aspartic acid and l -[15N]alanine. Eschericia coli B, immobilized in carrageenan, was used to prepare in a single step l -[15N]aspartic acid from [15N]ammonium fumarate.
