Physiological and Morphological Responses of Soybean to Water Stress and Rehydration: Implications for Growth, Seed Yield and Quality

open access: yesJournal of Agronomy and Crop Science, Volume 212, Issue 5, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Rapid stomatal regulation is an early response associated with improved maintenance of leaf water status and post‐stress recovery in soybean, but it cannot fully offset the detrimental effects of severe drought on seed production. This study evaluated the physiological and morphological responses of soybean genotypes to progressive water ...

Dietary L‐Tyrosine Sustains Egg Production and Quality by Modulating Promoter CpG Methylation, Gene Expression, and Hormone Profiles in Reproductive Signalling Pathways of Aged Laying Hens

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, Volume 110, Issue 5, Page 685-698, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Managing prolactin (PRL)‐mediated reproductive suppression is critical for maintaining egg production in commercial laying hens. L‐tyrosine (TYR), a precursor of dopamine (DA), may counteract age‐related reproductive decline by suppressing PRL, thereby sustaining productivity and egg quality in late‐phase laying hens.

Prevalence of Hepatitis B Virus Infection in Cameroon: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Viral Hepatitis, Volume 33, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a global public health problem, and many regions of Sub‐Saharan Africa are disproportionately affected, including Cameroon, where prevalence has previously been shown to be high. This study aimed to provide up‐to‐date estimates of HBV prevalence in Cameroon.

A Preliminary Test of the Comprehensive Model of Post‐Dissolution Distress: Predicting Initial and Over Time Changes in Distress Following Romantic Dissolution

open access: yesPersonal Relationships, Volume 33, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This study provided a preliminary test of the Comprehensive Model of Post‐Dissolution Distress with longitudinal data. The model includes distal (static; e.g., breakup controllability, relational anxiety) and proximal (time‐varying; e.g., desiring reconciliation, coping, quality of alternatives) factors in predicting both initial distress and ...

Pyridyl‐Thiazole‐Thiosemicarbazones as Antitrypanosomatidae Agents: Design, Synthesis, and In Silico Profiling

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
A novel pyridine–thiazole derivative, Compound 8, exhibited potent dual antitrypanosomatid activity. It demonstrated remarkable in vitro efficacy against Trypanosoma cruzi (IC50 = 1.0 µM) and L. amazonensis (IC50 = 3.9 µM). Molecular docking studies suggested interactions with heme and multiple molecular targets.
