Quantifying microhabitat selection of snowshoe hares using forest metrics from UAS‐based LiDAR

open access: yesWildlife Biology, Volume 2026, Issue 5, September 2026.
Identifying the spatial and temporal scale at which animals select resources is critical for predicting how populations respond to changes in the environment. The spatial distribution of fine‐scale resources (e.g. patches of dense vegetation) are often linked with critical life‐history requirements such as denning and feeding sites.

Thermal Transformations of Platinum‐Heterobimetallic Iminodiacetate Dithiocarbamates Comprising Group 2 and Group 12 Metal Ions

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 13, 1 September 2026.
The heterobimetallic amino‐acid dithiocarbamates [M(H2O)n]2[Pt(L)2] (M = Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Cd; L = N‐dithioato‐iminodiacetate) are thermally dehydrated to their respective anhydrates M2[Pt(L)2], which further yield metal sulfate or oxide particles decorated with finely distributed metallic platinum upon combustion in air. The thermal decomposition of the

open access: yesGeriatrics &Gerontology International, Volume 26, Issue 9, September 2026.
In 485 community‐dwelling older adults, loneliness was associated with applying aging stereotypes to oneself, not with awareness of them or general agreement.
